I've tried every over the counter product possible from head and shoulders to T-Gel and while the product may work at first, it seems the dandruff becomes immune to it, therefore the product becomes useless.
someone suggested awhile back to me that buzzing my hair off might alleviate it since longer hair tends to invite the problem(that is their opinion , not mine). I have no intentions on getting a buzzcut since I recall having the symptoms when I had a buzzcut before anyway.
does anyone know what causes this and how to stop it permanently?
Am I correct that buzzing it will not alleviate the problem,
that dandruff occurs in the scalp not the hair itself?
I had dandruff for a while, Head and Shoulders fixed the problem
and still does.
And no I did not buzz it.
Nizoral is your best friend. Use every other day. Also use conditioner.
Dandruff is really just dry skin of the scalp.....certainly "buzzing" will not help in any way.
If over the counter products do not work, a visit to a dermatologist will put you on the right track to a comfortably moisturized scalp.
Good Luck and please share your progress with us....there are many here who suffer with dandruff.

It is expensive at 15-17 dollars for a 12 oz bottle.
Hey DavidK,
One thing I found, when I had a dandruff problem, was that I was leaving the shampoo in my hair for too long. Once I learned to massage it into my scalp for 10-15 seconds (maximum) and rinse immediately I was good to go. Give that a try.
Hope it helps.
Take care,
Brett
