My hair really doesn't get any longer anymore, so these aren't really "progress" pics. I just throw together a few pics each year, and I put up mine for 2011 today, at the link.
Bill
hello bill. i always enjoy looking at your photos of yourself and mother nature over the years since i first saw this site way back in 2008. your beard is looking great and really suits you. are you growing it to terminal? love the good taste in t-shirts too. cheers, duncan
Cool you like the shirts, and yeah, my beard is now at terminal. So is my mane. I haven't trimmed the beard since 2006 nor the mane since 1997, and neither has strands more than 16 inches long in them. Few strands exceed a foot. I'm 65 now, and older guys often don't get the length they got when younger. I had a few strands from my mane reach my belt back around 2000, and the longest one I ever found that fell out back about then was a tad over 22 inches. None are that long now.
No bald spots yet, though! Glad about that! If I've reached 65 without any, I'm not apt to ever get them.
Bill
You are looking well my friend !!
Thanks for Sharing
Walter
Hey, for guys like us, looking old is a given. But we've had years to perfect our own unique styles - looks that work great for us, like your hats!
Bill
Thanks for sharing the photos, Bill! You always have such scenic backgrounds. Classic Haight Ashbury shirt!!!! May 2012 be as good a year as 2011! :)
Pray for spring rains that bring flowers. I go to the fair most years, and I always find flowers to pick along the road while walking over there. The best flowers for your hair are found growing in the cracks in the sidewalks!

You are looking good, Bill. My beard splits in the wind like that too. I am trying to figure out where that waterfall is in the last photo. I am stumped.
Scott
It's behind me. [wink]
Bill
Ahaha! I recognize the waterfalls, but I can never remember which is which!
That one's longer than your mane, 'Pup!
Bill
A facinating record over the years, and looking great in 2011 Bill. Hope you've now started the 2012 collection.
Thanks, Ian. I guess I don't really make an effort to collect photos. I just go through whatever I have around New Year's each year and pick a few I like from the year that just ended.
On my own page I just put pictures of me. If other people are in one, I'll crop them out. On my travels page some of the pictures include people I've done stuff with.
Bill
Bill,
Your hair and beard look fantastic. Great smiles too.Cool! Is your beard growing anymore or is it at terminal length? I have been letting my beard grow out as of late.
peace, jonalbear
Both. It keeps growing, but the damned hairs only get so long, and then they fall out!
I bet it's beautiful, John. You've always grown great thick hair.
Bill
Cool!
Glad you like them! I don't put up too many each year. At some point, the excitement level of watching hair grow gets to be somewhere between that of watching water boil and watching snow melt. Especially when your hair isn't growing anymore. [wink]
Bill
Hi Bill,
Always great to see the photos that you post:)The last time I remember looking at your photo album was when you and Larry took a road trip that included a stop in Vegas. There were also many cool floral pics along the roadside that I recall you photographing.Do you have any travel plans for 2012.I'm planning on revisiting the bay area this spring:)
Mark
We have no plans yet, and we'll probably be around when you come. See you then!
Bill
Those are fun pics, Bill, I especially like the pic of you with flowers in your hair at the Haight St. Fair! Speaking of which, reminds me...
This coming year when June rolls around, if I can't get the entire day off for the Haight St. Fair, I'm just not going to even attempt commuting from the E. Bay this time... Arriving at the Fair late only means two things: 1) too crowded by then; 2) you and Larry have gone back home by then!
Anyway, on a similar topic, I have yet to hear whether I can have Easter Sunday off from work this year so I can attend the Hunky Jesus contest in Dolores Park (nope, I don't want to enter that contest -- that would be the "chunky" Jesus competition - LOL)!!

PS - one of the wonderful things about ALL of your pics is that they seem to always have been taken in the Great Outdoors. They are always a joy to look at, and especially fun to see which way the wind will "style" your hair & beard!
I've never gone to that, and it sounds like fun. Remind me to meet you over there. Don't expect me to wear thorns in my hair, though!
Bill
Hi Bill,
You may not see my post here, since I am terribly late to reply, but these are excellent photos, and we appreciate you sharing them with your fellow hyperboard members.
Thanks for sharing,
David
Fantastic photos Bill!
