Here's how my ponytail looks after I blowdry my hair. I don't like it at all and wish I could find a product that would tame it, or a blowdrying technique that would avoid this wild, bushy, staticky (I say that's a word) look and feel. I try to avoid blowdrying it but sometimes I can't go out with my hair still wet and I don't have time for the normal "air dry."
Hi Jann. Well these two pics show the amazing thickness of your hair, but from your earlier shots, it would seem to me that air drying ia the natural answer to avoid the more bushy look. Much better for your hair too! But either way, you have great hair. Regards, Ian
The only way I know of to help with that is to use a large round hair brush and smooth the hair as you blow dry it.

Hi Jann, I blow dry my hair when air drying is not possible due to humidity or cold. I use this rig for hands free drying and only on low setting. This will stop the bushy problem. (In the past, I dried it upside down, which makes hair more bushy.)
Perhaps a moisturizing conditioner will help with the electrical charges in your hair. Moisture will short out high voltage electrical charges.

To avoid the risk of heat damaging such a thick gorgeous mane as yours, you need to maintain a safe distance. Based on length, you have 3 or 4 years invested in it, and heat damage is something you want to avoid, at all costs.
The rig that I use works very well for me. I have fine, delicate, super long hair with no heat damage.
As you can see, I placed the hair dryer between the shower curtain support bars. Some type of support arm that holds the hair dryer, attached to the wall, should work too.
Happy growing
