If you're on Facebook you might find this Group well worth belonging to: Real Men Have Long Hair (clickable link below this post).
I imagine you would need to be logged into Facebook to see it - though it is an Open Group so perhaps not?
It is an old Group that has suddenly become very active again. Currently, there is a great discussion on "Is Your Hair Gay or You Simply Have Balls?" - a badly phrased title (in my opinion!) which has nevertheless spawned some excellent replies.
Incidentally, I am on Facebook myself (obviously I guess!:) and would welcome 'Friends' from the MLHH.

Real Men Have Long Hair
Hi Gamon, thanks for the info, looks interesting. By the way, what's your facebook page?
Hi Ian,
Yeah, the Group looks good. I only just noticed it recently but I see a few MLHH faces are already in it. My FB profile:

BTW, "Damon" is the name I WISH my parents had given me if they had a bit more imagination. But sadly they didn't and I got lumped with "David".
Parents huh? Who'd have 'em? But I often use the name "Damon" anyway. :)

Hi Damon, I joined this group last year and responded to the two mentioned topic posts. It's great that there are other places for discussion of issues relating to hair.
Duncan
Hi Damon,
Thanks for the heads up on this group as I just joined it:) Always nice to find other groups where men's longhair is the main topic. It'll be interesting to see how the discussions go.lol!Cheers

Heck Mark, if I'd known you weren't a member I'd have suggested it long ago. :-)
Dale's Facebook Page

Hi Damon,
I might as well admit that I am still not on Facebook, so this group is inaccessible to me. However, one of these days, I might even take the plunge and join, even though I will probably keep a low profile there.
David
Hi David (and also of course Damon),
I'm not on Facebook yet -- in fact, I'm a bit "anti-Facebook" in my sentiments; so am trying my best NOT to join it for now (if at all, "EVER" - LOL)....
My partner likes Facebook, however; but there's something about it that still bothers me for some reason.
Hey, I'm an old geezer -- and geezers have the right to be stubborn and dig their heels in once in awhile (especially over unimportant things like joining a group that I've lived without having to be a part of for well over 50 years so-far - LOL)!
"Onward & Downward!" (and unlikely Facebook-ward - LOL),
Ken
Hi Ken,
Even though I took the facebook plunge several months ago I understand your reasoning for avoiding it.Problem now is I hear they have upgraded their site,if you want to call it that, to something called Timeline? Originally it was optional, if you wanted to use it, but I hear its going to be mandatory soon.People who already use it cause me problems as mt older computer has troubles with the graphics.I know I need a new computer but I ain't getting one just because of Facebook's dopey Timeline.Anyway if you decide to join the FB crowd you'd be more than welcome I'm sure:)Cheers

Hi Ken and David,
Ken, I totally understand what you're saying. While nearly everyone I hang out with is on Facebook, I've found a large proportion of older people are not. Generally, older people tend to mistrust FB and prefer older methods of communication.
I think perhaps many people fail to see the point of FB. To me, it's most important use is as a 'social network'. Nearly everyone I have as a 'Friend' on my FB page is a real friend in real life - I know them personally and we meet face-to-face. Thus, for instance, if one of us announces that they're celebrating their birthday on Tuesday at the Red Lion pub or going to the BlahBlah metal gig at the BlahBlah venue on the 23rd March, it's easy to organise a get-together. That's how a group of us organised hiring a minibus and going clubbing in London on NYE.
Also, we use FB to pass on info to each other: the latest indie music or whatever that we think others might like, etc. For instance, FB sharing like that is one of the prime reasons WOTE's 'Somebody That I Used To Know' got over 40 million hits in only three weeks after it was released.
Mark makes a very valid point about FB "upgrading" their site. It's always being tweaked and bloated unnecessarily (presumably 'cause some guy in their R&D Dept needs to justify his salary). It can be annoying!
But overall I have to say I love FB and would now feel a big gap without it.

Just in case anyone is interested, I've included a link to that song I mentioned in my last post. ;)
Note the hair of the guy in the middle. Yayyy! I'm on-topic (more or less anyway)! :)

WOTE's 'Somebody That I Used To Know'
Hi Damon,
It's a great group and I've been on there quite a while and very positive towards our longhair community.
Cheers,
