I have to admit I have never seen the film but I just came across this clip. Apologies to those who have already seen it countless times!

Hair song
Hi Damon,
Well I have heard the song but never saw the clip so I guess I'm halfway there!LOL.Years ago we had a member named "Stormy" who would post weekly audio clips about hair for download.I saved everyone he posted and put them in my itunes:)Sadly I don't know what happened to him as he stopped posting but it was fun while it lasted:)Love the hair tunes!LOLCheers

My wife, Pam and I went to see the 2011 Summer of Love Broadway Tour of "HAIR" last September in Dallas. Gotta be honest--that night was one of the best times I ever had. Really loved it.

Hi yoshiki,
Yes, I agree I like this version of the song "Hair"!Too bad the video is a bit grainy but you get the idea:)
Hmmm, maybe this should be the official tune of the MLHH?lol
Mârk
Maybe the official song should be Come Together by the Beatles?
I hate to admit it but i've never seen Hair (the movie or the
Broadway production). Even though I started growing my hair
in 1964.
Hair produced some great music though.
I saw the film long after it came out, in a cinema in France whle on holiday, in French.
The funny thing was all the hippies calling eachother 'mon vieux', which I think was meant to be 'man', but I would tend to translate back into English as something more like 'old chap', LOL!
If one was serious, should make an unofficial poll... be interesting to see the results ^_~ .....
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Thanks, guys! I like the different versions. I'd never heard of The Cowsills - so I've definitely learnt something new!
I kinda wish I'd been around in the 60s when long hair was so excitingly fresh and novel!

Hi Damon,
If I remember right, the Cowsills was a ragtag traveling rock band (maybe a family even?) that the Partridge Family based their TV show off of. A little bit of 60s music history there, even if it's almost 95% accurate :p ~
Sincerely,
yoshiki
I saw it on stage and it was great. Not on Broadway, but in about '75 or '76 there was a "Broadway Roadshow" version that played in various cities around the country. I saw it in Ft. Worth, Texas at the Will Rogers Theater. That was the first performance of it ever in North Texas. It was super controversial back then because of it's attitude, language and the infamous nude scene (the first in legitimate theater, as I recall). It's one of those plays best experienced in a theater because there is a certain amount of direct interaction between the actors and the audience.
Makes me want to see it now!
Damon
