Over the last few months I've noticed that the hair on top of my head is very flat and thinner than the hair on the rest on the rest of my body such as the back and sides. I'm extremely paranoid and don't know what to do. When you look at it from far, it looks fine, but up close and in lighting you can see it. Many people assured me that it is okay, but i don't believe them. What do you guys think? I need honest opinions. Should I use Rogaine?
As the gets longer it clumps and parts, it looks full to me.
Your hair will feel flatter on to because theres more hair attached to it weighing it down. As for feeling thinner, all the hair that starts at the top also fills in the sides and back. it's going to feel thinner.
I've gone through times where I could have sworn the same thing, and if you're looking for it you're bound to find it. I'm ask honesty your hair looks normal and I wouldn't worry about whether or not you're balding unless you can tell without a doubt.

Thanks for the information, I feel a bit better, but i'm still concerned with the bottom left picture. Why is so much scalp showing? and why does it clump like that? i'm just hoping it doesn't get worse.
Part of it is having dark hair. It makes the contrast between hair and scalp way more prominent. And theres some grease in your hair which can cause the effect too because of clumping.
Still don't think you have anything to worry about :)
I was wondering the same thing when my hair started getting longer. When it grows out, it becomes heavier, thus seeming "thinner" on top, especially around the part. It generally makes it flatter there, though.
I have the same thing around my part, I was wondering the same
thing. Good to know I don't have anything to worry about.
My hair has done the same thing since I was a freshman in high school. I'm 26 now and still have a full head of hair, it's just thin in a couple of spots.
Here is a picture of my hair after a shower. See what i mean by thinning and clumping?
