RIP Cliff Burton. He would have been 50 today. I wonder how Metallica would have evolved had he been around past Master of Puppets.
Cliff never would have sold out and cut his hair and what fantastic hair he had!
He probably just would have been kicked out of or left the band. But it really is a shame that Metallica has devolved into what they are now. Although gotta admit that Lulu is pretty hilarious, despite how bad it is.
RIP Cliff.

Thankfully my first time seeing Metallica live was the Master Of Puppets
tour so that was the only time I saw Cliff in the band before his unfortunate
passing.I vividly recall that concert at the BB Arena in East Ruthaford,NJ as
they opened for Ozzy Ozborne supporting his Ultimate Sin tour. Metallica was
awesome that evening while Ozzy literally tore up the house.Well the fans did not
Ozzy!lol.Ozzy apparently egged on the crowd to "Let's get crazy" which they did and tore out over 1000 seat cushions and rained them down on the floor section.Needless to say Ozzy was held responsible and his tour paid for the damages.Oh those were the days!LOL

Man, I can't believe it's almost 50 years. I know I haven't listened to them as much as I used to but Cliff was a pretty impressionable bassist and overall laid-back person. Even to this day I wish he was still alive, maybe, MAYBE they woul have stayed relatively true to their colors. That aside, the metal world had lost an iconic figure.
"When a man lies, he murders part of the world.
These are the pale deaths which men miscall their lives.
All this i cnanot bear to witness any longer.
Cannot the Kingdom of Salvation take me home?"
