  Hi all,

  Can anyone recommend a good brand of hair ties for a ponytail or what-not? The brand I've been buying is "scunci", which sounds European - but is made in China :p and is bought over at the local Walgreens... but that has nothing to do with it ^o^ ! Anyways, the brand seems good, but the diameter of the hair ties are inconsistent. Sometimes too tight, sometimes too loose.

  Is there really anything out there that someone would shoot off to the moon for? I doubt Consumer Reports has section on hair ties :p heh~

    I have used the Goody brand ties, Strong and flexible in yet as of late it has been hard to find colors I like. Maybe it's not important but I like to color code my ties with what I am wearing. Hot pink, Acid green,bright blue and purple don't get it for me. Hard to find dark greens, tan, brown and orange for some reason. Lots of black ones out there but now that I am retired and not required to wear a uniform I like to be a little more colorful.
    Hope you luck in finding something that works for you.

      Simple, just wear hot pink, acid green and other bright colours, like I do, LOL!

    I use those, too. They're too tight for about a week. Then they're perfect for a few months. Then they fall apart. Given the price, that works out just fine.

    I use them and have had no problems with them.

    When I use them the colors I use are Black only. I have about 5 packages of the black that I keep on hand.

    I've never been happy with any of them. I always get the snagless style, but no matter what brand I get, I always have a few break before I even use them. Out of a pack of 20 or so, I would say at least 3 or 4 break almost immediately.

    It seems like the consensus is that what I'm using right now is ok and that there isn't any perfect hair tie out there... which I suspected, but nonetheless, it doesn't hurt to ask the experts ^_~ . Thank you so much for your replies ^^ !
