Update photo 3 - tied in bun
Looking good! Have you tried those little black metal bendable clips (they look triangular) to securing loose hairs? I usually use them when I want a more sleeker look, or I would use gel and comb my hair sleek. Thanks for sharing!
cheers,

Hey Rowie, I haven't tried those clips yet. but I did think about it.
I use a very fine, black, thin, no snag / no damage "scunci" band to make a ponytail at the base of my neck, and then wind it around a few times, and pull the tail only part way though on the last time. Then I pull it out a bit into a slightly sloppy ball (to avoid the dreaded "too perfect" look). I like to gently pull a few hairs or locks out of the bun, also. The point where my bun is tied looks tiny, in relation to my bun, because my hair is fine, so I beef it up by adding another larger size, thicker scunci tie to go around it a few more times. This combination holds great, and I usually never need to adjust the back again once I've done this in the morning. It takes me just a couple of minutes, and I'm good to go!
Enjoy your experimenting!
