Wow, It is getting hot in here. The last posts have been really intense. I'm pretty new here, but I just wanted to send some positive energy, and warmth to all my "bros" in here.
We may all have our differences, but the one thing we all have in common is the beating of our hearts....
Peace and love,
rowie
No, it's only occassionally like this. Sometimes a topic or post comes along that get peoples' hackles up. Opinions are shared, and people take away from it what they will.
Thanks for the good vibes man, and don't worry... the dust will settle soon :)
Love, peace, and bear grease,
Val
I want to agree with your sentiments here, however, I am frankly shocked at some of the recent comments. This site has been a great help to me in the past and I have from time to time tried to construcitively contribute. But, I have to say that the closed minded bigotry expressed recently by some of the members I have most respected here in the past has made me reconsider my loyalty to this site. My understanding was that this board was created to Encourage a wide understanding and acceptance of those men who chose to have long hair. This does not seem to me that it is up to any member to Judge Who can have What kind of long hair. Further, the reiteration of a so called "Rule" over and over does not make it any more valid. Sometimes, in fact often, rules need to be modified or interpreted when they are shown to be ineffective or unfair, the very basis by which we govern in this country. A little more openmindedness never hurts, especially when No ONe is making anyone else here adhere to any particular look they are not comfortable with. This site always said to me: "feel free to be and express your self in your appearance without fear of the usual unfair criticism in society, this is a safe place to be yourself." I guess I was mistaken. Also, it pains me to see comments I would never have expected from two members I have most respected in the past,i.e."V" and "J". What are you two afraid of? Do you protest too much? I have to close by saying that I would have hoped for a more high minded approach from the members here.
Hi rowie,
Sadly we do get heated up a bit too much over topics that really don't warrant it and honestly it's not always like this. It's unfortunate when a newbie shows up and this is the first impression they get of the mlhh which I feel is a great community or I would not have stuck around since 2005 when I first joined. So please don't give up as you will see the dust will settle and we can get back to what normally mlhh is about.Thank you for comments:)Cheers

It's not always like this, and I will go on record saying that I'm glad they don't come up too often. There's a place for discussing subjects like the ones mentioned, but I don't come to this board to read stuff like it.
Steve
Agreed. I don't think this happens too often and I've been generally impressed by the inclusive nature and combined wisdom of the regular posters here. If someone brings up divisive issues which shouldn't be discussed here, they will soon be told.
best regards
Andy
Hey Rowie,
It usually isn't like this. Usually when things begin to boil up like this, though, just avoid reading it. We have enough turmoil in our lives - no need to add on to it ^_~ . Then when it simmers down as quickly as it had boiled up, nothing to worry about :) . Just go and read the updates when the debates rage - as infrequent as they are :) ...
That's my take, at least. Please don't run away just because you got here at during a time of one of the periodical flare-ups. Hang in there, and you'll see that it is a pretty friendly, accepting place - it really is :) !
Now cue the song "Imagine" by John Lennon in 3, 2, 1 ;p .....
Peace,
yoshiki
I took the time to read the posts. Rowie, et al, I appreciate the debate, but I think it is "much ado about nothing".
That said, Mikael, you do have a pretty face with cheekbones I'd die for. It is easy for some men to make a false assumption regarding your masculinity. Face it! You're very pretty and we all know you are proud of it! Personally, any man's jaw would have dropped after viewing your body pic. You knew that too, otherwise you wouldn't have posted it. But that is all right because we know you are proud of that pic too. A little vanity is wonderful, and most of us posting on this board tend to be vain. I'm Mr. Vain myself!
You are all my long-haired brothers in my eyes. Mikael, welcome to MLHH!
I wasn't debating or starting one, I'm kind of mystified where it would be indicative that I was. I was only spreading my positive vibes because the conversations in the lasts thread started heating up for me, hence my posting of a picture of a heart that has been bandaged.
peace,
rowie
My Bad. I obviously didn't pay as much attention to your mesage. Apologies and longhair love!
What does any of this nonsense have to do with hair?
