I posted here pretty regularly a few years ago, maybe 2005/2006 in that area about growing my hair out. At that time I had an employer that was open minded to long hair, beards, and the like however things change and from then until now I've had to keep it either #1 buzzed or otherwise extreemly short. Anyway in Feb 2011 I became partially disabled and couldn't hold that line of employment anymore and started doing things out of the home while continuing to get my hair cut on a regular basis because I'd gotten so used to it, but I'm thinking it's time to grow it back to it's bottom of my back glory. My last haircut was in Dec 2011 so this is with about 4mo of growth under my belt, if I comb it straight down the bangs just touch my eyebrows. Figuring this is the best time to start talking about it since that's when your gonna hit the awkward phase and the temptation to buzz it gets really bad lol.
You are off to a great start man! Keep it growing! It will get there.
I can relate very much to your story. Your disability has sadly forced you into a situation, but released you from the ties of conformity. Enjoy your new journey and good luck
It's the getting there that scares me lol. I hate that wierd part where it looks odd down but you can't tail it either because it too short. Gonna have to bring out my collection of dorags, bandanas, and baseball caps :p
Welcome back. I'm sorry you're affected by some kind of health condition but it's nice that you again have the freedom to grow your hair. I look forward to future updates.
