Have any of you ever heard of this band called Chesterfield Kings?
they were some sort of Garage Rock band back in the early 1980s reminiscent of early Rolling Stones and other period bands.
their hair may not be the ultimate length for some of you, but at least they didn't have short haircuts or shaved heads.
there is even an introduction by Martha Quinn on this old clip

Hey David,
That was a good clip of The Chesterfield Kings. I watched another video of them doing "Babydoll" which was excellent. I'm a big classic rock fan, and I like some metal too.
I remember people on the scene here in New York in the early 1980's talking about that band with respect. We were all caught up in the punk rock scene then, so The Chesterfield Kings were a bit of a departure from the popular sound. I hear the punk influence in their sound though, it has a nice hard edge. I'm also reminded a bit of Velvet Underground listening to it.
I'll check out some more of their stuff. Thanks for sharing this!
