Hello guys!
Inspired by Unrealxxx's video, I decided to get the sides of my hair evened out a little bit. The hair hanging over the ears appeared too long in comparison to the back and fringe/bangs and made it look messy and unkempt. I believe it looks better now, and I'm more comfortable to wear it down, rather than under a hat or pushed back.
I only got less than an inch taken off the sides, the rest remained untouched. So it's nothing drastic like when I hit the scissors years ago.
I also found a product at my workplace which I found to be very helpful in taming my hair. It's not exactly hairspray, they say it's a stylinhg gel spray, but it doesn't act like gel at all. It doesn't make my hair hard, but keeps it in style.

Hi Chris, you have a fine head of thick hair, keep away from those scissors and you will soon have an outstanding mane. Regards, Ian
Why cut at all? You need to forget about scissors if you want long hair.
Fantastic trim! you didn't lose any length and it looks much more evened out now.
Thanks :)
To the people asking why I trimmed, I already explained that.
Here we go again eh?
I beg your pardon?
Hmmmmmmm, unfortunately I was thinking the exact same thing.I hate to think Chris may be falling off the wagon because his current hair was coming along nicely. In my opinion just let it grow and "don't touch"!

I will have to disagree with this. Just because I got a slight trim , one that is even barely noticable, doesn't mean I'm "falling off the wagon".
I've seen others here get trims in the awkward and get nothing but praise about how much better it will look when it grows further. I feel I'm still being judged for things I did five years ago.
I come here for support, and good fun, but at times I feel this is not the case.
Please Chris don't take this the wrong way.I know it sounds unfair but guys who've been here awhile, and remember your past hair experience, get raised eyebrows when they see you getting a trim so early in the growing out process.Someone else who does what you did, but hasn't had false attempts in the past, likely get cut some slack.Chris, we are here to support you and I don't want to see you fail again as your hair really is looking great so far:)Cheers
