Today I found my first had I bought myself back in 2008 when I was growing my hair out. Since then I have gotten a collection of various hats, but I really like how this one looks on me.
Do you guys ever wear hats?
That's a nice hat and a good look for you.

Thank's man, that has picked me up today :D
I never wear hats, even on the coldest winter days.
I've got a few that i've acquired over the years but I never wear them.
(not a big fan of hat hair)
Nice looking Hat!
I used to wear bandannas, and scunci headbands when I was going through the awkward stage. Now that I think about it, I didn't like wearing hats, particularly baseball caps because I felt like it was suffocating my scalp, and it made my scalp sweat more compared to the airy bandanna. Now that my hair is longer, I do not wear hats or bandannas anymore. Pony ties, and different kinds of hair toys are now my best friends.

Backward TX Longhorns baseball cap always. Maybe a dorag or bandana through the awkward phase.....naw my TX hat is glued to my scalp.
I have a Texas Rangers baseball cap from my trip to the US last year.

In this photo I'm wearing my favorite style hat! I do have quite a collection of hats from wool golf caps to leather cowboy hats to fedoras and ball caps. Even have a yellow hard hat!
Your cap looks good on you!

My 'hat' contribution !!! ... hehehe CEM. ;P
I wore tons of hats when I had very short hair, but now with long hair I prefer to tie it up, or wear a bandanna once in a while. Hats feel too hot and confining now.
When it's raining outside I always bring along an brown Irish tweed cap, similar to the one in your photo. My hat is a little big on me, which is perfect, because it's roomy enough not to mess up my hair too much when I take it off! I have had to run down the street after it a couple of times on windy days though! :O
Your hat looks great on you, and your hair is growing in very well!
Joey
Hehe thanks.
I know what you mean. I like a bit of room in my hat too.
I can't wear hats. Even the ones with chin straps blow off. This may be due to the shape of my head, or due to the slipperiness of my hair where the hatband lies or my beard where the chin strap lies.
While hiking under the Golden Gate Bridge once I saw a cyclone fence that was plastered with about two hundred hats, held there by the wind. They had blown off the heads of tourists on the walkway overhead. A lot of people can't wear hats because they'll lose them to the wind.
Bill
Bill, I'm sure several of those unfortunate hats glued to that fence are my very own, which blew off my head and clear across country from Times Square. Luckily as my hair gets longer I use them a lot less often! : )
Joey
I wish I could wear hats!
Ive got an oversized head, thats too big for ALL of the hats I've found for sale so far.
I've heard rumours of dedicated hat stores not too far away that might sell hats big enough to fit me.
Problem is, I dont want to waste time looking for stores that might not even be there, and even if they are there I probibly can't afford those stores prices.
Your hat looks great, nice style, but it does cover up your beautiful red hair

Beanie when it is snowing.
Hats are great and I am glad to see them coming back in style on younger guys......that is a great look for you.
Thanks for Sharing

This is my outdoor hat I use to keep the top of my head from getting sunburned when I'm out of view of the general public. I found it left behind in a rent-a-car years ago and it has been used and abused and keeps on going strong.
When it comes to hats, I tend to collect way more than I can wear. :-) When my hair is tied up at work I generally wear either a knit beanie or else a backwards baseball cap to keep my bun from being as obvious. When I'm not working my current favorite is the one I'm wearing in the attached photo. Additionally I have two more similar to it, along with 3 straw cowboy hats, two felt cowboy hats, an Aussie bush hat, a couple engineer caps and numerous baseball caps. Did I say I probably have too many? LOL

Very nice hat. I have a nice collection of trilbys, flatcaps and beanies. I even have a tophat!
Looks good on you!
Not often, but here's a shot of some friends and I trying on hats at Texas Hatters in Lockhart, Texas. A matching hat for our hair/beard colors - Black, white and whiskey.
Some of the wooden forms behind us are 200 years old.

Great shot!
I see you and your friend in the middle both also have T-shirts with colors that beautifully complement your beard colors. This is one thing those of us with long beards learn - you want to pick shirt colors that don't clash with your beard! You also want the right amount of contrast. Ideal are shirts with contrast enough to show your beard but are muted enough that their pattern does not show through the thinner areas of your beard.
This all also applies to long hair when you wear it down and in front.
The recent fashion of wearing shirts with bold plaids is one that doesn't work well for many of us. Loud plaids will show through the thinner areas of your hair or beard and their blockiness will clash with the waves and curls that hair and beards often have.
Bill
Thanks Bill - Yes, the beard and hair are definitely terms to be factored in when satisfying the daily "wardrobe equation".
