played around with the properties on the webcam of my laptop...the level of sharpness was way off so it seemed to 'soften' the picture taken...i always thought it looked odd..as if i had plastic surgery..so i just took that property out..hope it looks more natural...anyway i tried to finger comb this time (i usually use a wide tooth comb after i wash it) and it seems to have more volume..especially at the ends.
Hi Gordy,
I have to say that change did improve the look of your photo in that it does look more natural:)Still it could use more resolution being its not very sharp.Since the pic was taken at point blank range I'd expect it to be very clear and sharp unless your lighting is low.Anyway without letting that take anything away from you awesome mane it looks great when finger combed:)Cheers

Hey Mark
I have tried for a better resolution but still, all had to be done in Photo Shop and leaves much to be desired. Best thing of all to use is an ordinary camera like everyone else does.
Hope all has been well with you. Take care.

Hi
You must truly have one of the most remarkable photo devices in the world in its abilities to take "Art Photos" with no need of Photo-Shop or any other Computer Software. I have done much with photos for years and many restorations, but have NEVER known of a device that takes the likes of what I have seen without alteration of some type. With an ordinary camera, all would look as you would in real life and then everyone could see your progress. Some images I have seen in the past posts I can duplicate (with a regular photo) with one click of the mouse in Photo-Shop. I have never known of a Webcam that was able to do this. May I ask what brand you are using? Above is a photo taken in the 1860's which I have colorized. Notice that even back in those days that there was great clarity in a photo. You can even see the blades of grass! Certainly in the world of today, wrinkles in the face and hair would show up and "later" if the person desired, he could "alter" the photo so as to hide blemishes, wrinkles etc. as is a common practice of many Photo Studios and especially Hollywood. Apparently your Webcam alters the image before someone even has a chance to monkey-around with the original 1st take. It also may be(???) colorizing the skin a bit. Absolutely remarkable!
Glad you are finger combing. In my opinion this is the best and most safest route of all to take, and when my hair was once very long, I always did this.
Justin~
Back in 2010 I made this Montage of how long my hair used to be. All was photographed with a run of the mill 79.00 camera then on sale for 59.00. (It ate up batteries like Jaws! LOL )
In any event, nothing fancy needs to be used to get a realistic true to life looking photo.

Yup! I was thinking exactly the same. Perfect length. Excellent pic, Justin!

Thanks, and just look what I did with that photo in a mere 5 seconds in Photo Shop without even trying! :-)
Take care
Justin~
Thanks. All those years were surely years to remember.
Justin~
Wow = what a beautiful video: ( music & images ) - thank you
Wow Justin !!
Even photos of Astoria and ol' White Tail in there.....
Wasn't that a great day !??
Sure was Walter and I will never forget such a memorable day. bty: 2 of the photos taken in Astoria were from your camera and you were the photographer. In case anyone doesn't know, "White Tail" is an extremely fabulous photographer. It would take 5 lifetimes to be able to do and experience all this wonderful man has done to date.
My best to you always Walter-
