In addition to reading that this product makes hair look more healthy and shiny I read that it could accelerate hair growth.
is this true?
any info on what you've experienced using it would be very helpful.
if you actually know of any better products on the market feel free to list them as well.
thanks,
Nigel
Dear Nigel,
I have used Biotin for around 3 years. It hasn't noticeably speeded up hair growth on my head but others have reported an increase in growth. Doesn't hurt to use. I use about 5000mg every 2 days. I do think Biotin has contributed to the longevity and health of my hair and I think it does greatly reduces the number of hairs lost each day via shedding. I have been growing for just over 4 years and have yet to experience any major hair shed fallout. MSN tablets are also useful in improving the quality of hair. More importantly I believe having a predominantly healthy lifestyle eating plenty of fresh greens, fruits and protein as well as regular exercise can boost hair growth to a degree. Smoking and heavy drinking will retard hair growth to some degree
Mostly our god given inherited family genes influence how fast our hair grows. My hair grows only half an inch a month which is generally the average whereas a close female relative has a growth rate of at least an inch a month and complains about having to visit the hairdresser at least once a month complaining her hair grows "too fast" and keeps it in a short bob. Doesn't seem fair does it!
cheers, Duncan
