Hi everyone! I really enjoyed your input on whether or not I should cut my hair for a job. For now I'm going to keep and it see how the first few interviews go and hopefully it will be a non-issue :) Anyways, I've been meaning to ask this question for awhile. My main inspiration for growing long hair has been getting to ponytail length. I've always thought guys with ponytails had a really cool, jazzy look to them. One of my favorite long hairs is Michelle Nischan from Victory Gardens. He has such a cool ponytail look!
Although I'm not at full ponytail length yet I have been having fun putting what I do have into a small ponytail into a style what my mom jokingly call's the George Washington. She is totally supportive of my long hair though so its a good joking ;)
Did any of you use this style when you in the in between stages? The reason I'm asking is that although I think it looks cool I feel too goofy to go out in public with it and wanted to see if you all had any experience with the half ponytail :) Love the forum! Zach
If that is your current look, I would suggest that you need to work on tidying it up before going to interview. Long hair is fine, untidy hair is not.
Difficult to know what to suggest but dd you even brush it prior to that photograph.
Hi Zach,
Your hair has the potential to look fabulous once it gets really long not to say it doesn't look great even at its current length.I like the little pony you made as you shouldn't at all feel funny wearing it like that in public.I see lots of guys with longish hair with ever so tiny ponytails at the back of their heads. As for work interviews I'd say neaten it as much as possible and go in and make your case for the job you desire.Frankly I wouldn't even mention your hair length because it shouldn't even be an issue anyway. It's one thing if they bring it up but I certainly wouldn't volunteer to.Just act like its not even there.Anyway good luck with that and do keep us updated on your hair progress and of course the job:)Cheers my friend.

Thanks for the input guys! I should clarify that this look is just a casual photo..not the one I intend for my interview :) But I appreciate the advice for not even mentioning my hair for the interview and brushing it beforehand!
Hi Zach! Your hair looks amazing and healthy. Yes, but I would wear a bandanna in conjunction to my ponytail. At your stage I had bad frizzy hair near the front part of my head, and hence I usually wore hats or bandannas until I could fully tie my hair. I also would do the half up ponytail once my hair reached shoulder length. It's nice that I find new ways to style my hair as it gets longer.
Good luck with your job interview, and thanks for updating us.

Hi Zach, I think your hair looks great. Nice shine and waves, just need a bit of TLC before that interview - and good luck with that. With a few more months of growth, you'll be doing the full tail, and it will look fantastic.
