My g/f took this pic on Sunday. Yeah okay, my hair was a mess (we'd just got dressed - it was a lazy Sunday) but I'm loving the variation in the colour of my hair. All sorts of hues in there - and it's all natural!
Who says brown is boring. :)
Damon
Your hair may be a tad messy but the color does look nice Damon.Natural certainly is the way to go as I'm going natural too but with Henna;)LOL.In fact tomorrow I'm going to retreat my hair because the center part is now showing the original color since its been seven weeks when I last did it.Kinda looks funny with that racing stripe on my head.He he.At least I can verify my hair is indeed still growing:)Can't argue with around a half inch or so of unhennaed hair at my scalp.Still can't understand why my hair isn't past my waist being I haven't had a professional trim since 2005!
Mârk
Hi Mârk,
That is interesting....maybe could it be due to hair sheds or even breakage from other factors, and thus keeping you at the same length? I find this interesting since obviously your hair is still growing as how you described it. My caring and friendly suggestion is to maybe wear your hair in a low protective bun as much as you can. Buns are good at protecting the ends of your hair, and maybe this will reduce any friction, or sometimes breakage from any friction to the ends of your hair, which is crucial to protect at your length. I would only suggest this if you have a really active lifestyle of working out, engaging in sports etc...
I hope this helps,
rowie
Hi rowie,
Well this is how I see it and thank you for your input btw:)I do work out at a gym but just tail my hair which does the trick keeping it out of harms way.At work I put my tailed hair up under a baseball cap which I feel does protect it from the elements since I do work outdoors at times.Maybe that causes friction. So I have to conclude I'm just experiencing breakage being I can't otherwise figure out why my hair won't get longer.Like I stated I have never had a trim since 2005 so one would think my hair would be well below my waist.I would like to try bunning my hair but really need to spend the time figuring out how its done properly and looks nice.Still I can verify new growth since I do henna my hair every six to seven weeks and its clearly obvious new uncolored growth is present.I am happy with my current length if that's the way it has to be but I would truly like it longer:)Cheers my friend.

Mark, you have arrived! You've reached terminal length:
Terminal length does not happen because your hair stops growing. All your hairs, young and old, are growing. But only the old ones fall out. This gives the illusion that your hair has stopped growing because your oldest hairs are your longest hairs.

Damon,
Brown is not boring . Especially when it turns to grey!
peace,

Definitely never boring Damon. Your hair is looking great, and in the many years to come, even more colour with the shades of bronze, silver and grey - no, it's never boring :D
Thanks for the comments!
No trace of grey yet - and as attractive as it may be, I'll just have to leave that tint off the colour chart for now and make do with what I've got. I guess my hair will have even more variety in the future though! :)
Mârk, I guess I might try henna when it does start to turn grey one day; my hair has got a bit of natural red in it already so maybe it won't look all that different. But dying hair sounds like a real pain so I'm hoping that's many years away!
I figure you can probably tell I don't do much with my hair. I can't even be bothered to brush it half the time so taking the trouble to dye it would be a major upheaval! :)

Your hair looks good, Damon. My beard is white and my hair is sort of reddish blond. I just could not resist dragging out my tiedye kit and add a whole lot more additional colours. Enjoy.

Wow! Lots of colour there, Scott!
That tie-dye stuff is new to me. I guess it's an American 70s retro thing. I've never seen it here in the UK.
Not sure if I could handle all that colour! I live pretty much in all black with sometimes a little grey and the logos on Band T-shirts. Colour brings me out in a rash! :)
Plus I'd lose my goth street cred!

You tiedyed your hair! That I've gotta see! [wink]
Bill - Oh, I still wear that great tiedye shirt you gave me that you made:
