I've had long hair for about 2 and a half years now and i'm starting to get bored with it - especially seeing as i'm having trouble getting a job, and my hair looks really bad in a ponytail. Have any of you cut your hair and regretted it? Should i get it cut?
If you really don't want long hair anymore, then get it cut. Just be sure it's what you want. Alot of us here, when we start feeling fed up with our hair, follow the 2 week rule. That is, wait 2 weeks and if you still want rid of it, then cut, but not until that time is over. It's a little like have a waiting period on a handgun. It keeps you from doing anything, er, tragic.
Hope that helped.

Why does your hair look bad in a ponytail? If you can say more or have a picture, maybe people here can give you some advice on how to make it look better or a different way to wear your hair.
I was in your situation, with just one year.
I have debt and no money, I was too getting hassle to get a job. A friend's father offered me to take me to Toyota with a friend to get a job. I'm not yet sure if I'll get it, I cut it 5 days ago and I regret it already. I miss my hair bouncing, I miss the feel at the shower. I miss my little pony. But it is true that people is biased against long hair.
I would give you 2 advices, if you cut (please don't) don't cut it all. Do what I did, just cut the back, and not too much of the sides. In a way you can gel it back and give a sort of shorthaired look, with the possibility of recovering your pony in 6 or 7 months instead of 1.5 years.
The second is, which I couldn't. Look everywhere, waiters, jobs at discs shops, recording studios. There are jobs for us, you just need time to find them. Unfortunately I didn't have it. I already got a job as a teacher at Berlitz, and they said nothing about my hair, but I needed to cut it for Toyota anyway.
Really, there are places, and you must find them. Otherwise, cut the minimum. There is no need to go to the extremes.
