This was just taken tonight 4/29/2012. Ive been growing it now for about ten years getting the ends trimmed every couple of months. What are your opinions on doing the ends that often?
I don't know the answer to your question, but your hair looks great. I can't wait to reach that length.

I can say your hair does look fantastic and quite full all to the ends.
With that said the trims likely helped in keeping the ends from thinning
out which can happen.I never trim my hair so I'd say the longest part of
my length won't be as dense compared to higher up.So looking at your
pic I can't say you made a bad decision.Cheers

Your mane is absolutely gorgeous, James. Absolutely super. I was so distracted by your gorgeous mane, I almost forgot the question. Oh, it was about trimming, wasn't it? If you want to maintain your current length, just keep on doing your current routine, it wooks for you very well.
If you don't get split ends, and want it longer, you could try not trimming it for maybe a year to see what happens.
