Hi Longhairs,
Check this story about tracking & sensing abilities and long hair.
Dunno how true it is but is an interesting read to ponder.
Long hair and tracking + sensing abilities
Hi Charles,
Thanks for posting this interesting article. It is definitely a popular topic here in MLHH and has been posted before. In addition, please check out the link I've attatched to this reply. It is a very good article, and a worth while read!

Thanks Rowie,
The essay posted by Jason is very interesting.
In Asia, the Sikhs are not supposed to cut their hair though many have done so today. Instead they are to tie it up in a know on top of their head and cover it with a turban. Sikhism is a religion created in opposition to Mughal rule in India and they are are warriors.
Also, the ancient Chinese kept long hair as it was believed that their hair was given them by their parents and that they should not cut it. Thus even ancient Chinese generals and royalty had long hair.
Part of the antagonism towards long hair on men in western society might stem from the Victorian era.
Great scientists such as Newton, Boyle, Pascal, etc had long hair, as did many kings of England.
Cheers
Charles
Thanks for the link to that thought provoking article. I've heard a bit about long hair and native Americans before. Who knows? Maybe some of what's been attributed in the past to "female intuition" had something to do with their hair length, too. I don't know if I'm more intuitive with long hair, but I'm definitely happier.
Natives in other parts of the world, such as Malaysia, Australia, etc don't normally have long hair, unlike the native sof North America but they still have good tracking abilities, so while I'd like to believe the findings of this article, the more logical side of me holds me back from completely accepting it.
Anyway, I'm happy having long hair and admire long hair on other men, so that's the be all and end all of it.
To me it's aesthetically pleasing to behold, despite the many prejudices society holds against it.
While the majority of men today have short hair, there still will be some who choose to have long hair and our numbers will increase, decrease and increase again at different times.
Cheers
Charles
