Hope everyone is doing well as I'm just taking a break between road trips.Yesterday I met up with another friend up in Oakland where we did a small tour up Market street in SF.Got a chance to experience mass transit in SF which was quite interesting.I think it might take awhile to figure out how all the buses and such work but it was fun.Anyway here is my friend Ash and myself who joined me in the city:)Cheers

It looks like you had fun. Do you want to meet up with me as well at some point? I can show you the East Bay and more.
Scott
Hi Scott,
Just sent you an e mail about tomorrow.Let me know if that works for you.Cheers
Mârk
Ooh wow Scott, I didn't know you live in the East Bay. I miss my old alma mater "UC Berkeley," I wonder if you are near there... I'm originally from South SF. If you guys do meet up, please post any pics if possible. I'm so jealous! hahaha Wish I could take you guys around! So much to see like the Berkeley rose garden.
cheers,
rowie

I hope I not making you long to return to California, but one of my bike ride routes passes by this place.
Scott
Thanks Scott! Le sigh! Yes, sometimes I want to go home badly! It's nice to see your face as well! It looks like a beautiful day. Wish I could go biking with you!
cheers,
rowie
Hi Scott
If I were to go to SF I would certainly want to meet you despite not having the long hair anymore. I would be sure to contact you 1st of course cause everyone just knows what a scarry person I am. LOL :-)
I hope all has been well with you Scott.
All the best-
Justin~

You don't seem scary to me, Justin. You are someone I would like to meet some day. Do try to grow your hair back, if possible. Shoulder length doesn't take all that long to achieve. If you do plan a visit, the last weeks of September are good. There is a huge longhair party then. E-mail me for more details, if you want.
Scott
Mârk, I'm so glad you are having so much fun! Thanks for sharing and posting pics. It really makes reading your post enjoyable to be able to share special moments you have.
cheers,
rowie
Hi rowie,
I think its fun to sort of document parts of my trip here as they happen as opposed to posting a bunch of pics once the trip has ended. Also its easier covering so much spread out over a week too:)Cheers...

Hi Mark,
This is a graet photo, and it is awesome to hear that you are having such a great trip to the west coast. One day, I will make that trip for myself!
Happy travels,
David
Thanks for the kind words David.I know you mentioned traveling out west way back when you first retired but you really should make the effort. As you can see its quite a beautiful part of the country.Cheers

Hey Mark
What a totally neat photo. Couldn't help but Frame it for you in case later you may want to print it out. Always fun to meet-up with internet friends in person. OMG........getting around SF must be like a Mouse in a Maze. I would probably end-up being run over by the Cable Car! LOL Oh well, I am sure once you learn it no problem. ANYTHING must be better marked than the City of Portland. This place is unreal!
Glad you made the trip.
Justin~
ps: I "might(?)" just take a trip to SF yet to visit a fellow I know of that has a stash of Antique Pump Organs and restores them.
Hi Justin,
Hey thanks for fixing up the photo for me as I was kind of disappointed how grainy the shot came out.Couldn't really tell that until loading the pic on the computer.Bing I used an iphone 4s I was surprised it didn't come out sharper.
Oh tell me about the transit system in the city.Lucky my friend knew because I was clueless what trolley, bus or whatever to take.lol.I was ready to just do it all by foot being I travel in NYC that way anyway.
You should travel to SF and now it sounds like you have a reason to do so:)It would be cool if it coordinated with one of my trips out west.Anyway thanks a bunch for the picture fix and all your cool commentary my friend.Cheers
Mârk
Hi Mârk,
Nice picture of you two :) ! Your friend Ash there is really styin' :o ! That's one thing that really drives me over, especially when I lived in China are Asian-syled haircuts - they just look so good >< !!! Of course, your henna looks just as good, too ^_~ ...
Don't let the mass transit confuse you too much - just visit Beijing sometime :p heh~.....
Sincerely,
yoshiki
Hi yoshiki,
Oh I agree as I've always loved the Asian hairstyles on men with longhair:)My friend is actually Japanese and no matter how he wears his hair its very cool.I try to encourage him to grow it longer but not sure he wants to deal with the length. But hell yes he would look awesome with a long mane:)Cheers
