Hey guys!
Wanted to share a comment that was left in reponse to my YouTube video, "HAIR IT IS"! The best I can tell, they were not a fan of men with long hair. That's okay, each person has the right to their opinion.
"Mid life crisis. This is a new one. Some guys buy a fast expensive sports car, some leave their wives for a 20 year old woman, some travel and some just get really depressed but I have never heard of this. I could of thought of something better to do than start looking like a woman. Buy a pair of breasts and put on some lipstick. I guess its better than sitting around being depressed but hey we get old and there is nothing to do to stop it or pretend its not happening. Embrace it and cherish it".
How many of you are going through a mid life crisis? LOL!

well...if having a mid-life crisis means finally having the peace of mind to grow my hair as long as I please then count me in James!...I must be having one too! lol
I reckon another sign of mid-life crisis is losing one's hair...which you can guarantee is a fact with most of the male hecklers who take the mickey out of long haired men of a certain age, they're just jealous methinks.

Well my midlife crisis started in 1964 at the ripe old age of 10
and now continues at the ripe old age of 57.
Maybe the person who left this comment needs to get new glasses.
He probably hasn't noticed that most of the women you see today
have hair that is far shorter than mine.
Finally I would add the person who left this comment probably
is jealous that you can grow hair and he can't because he
is going bald or has gone bald.
The more I hear comments like this the more i'm driven to
keep my hair long. After all my mid life crisis has now
lasted 47 years.
And I didn't go through all that hassle to buck the establishment back in grade school/high school for
the right to grow my hair only to give in to some blow hard
who doesn't believe in freedom.
without knowing your actual age, with the short hair I would estimate you to be at least 50+
but with the long hair you look about 35+ to me so to sum it up
I think Long hair makes Men look younger and short hair makes them look much older.
ignore the obnoxious troll. I gave him a thumbs down and marked as "spam" for ya! ;-)
for those who don't know which video it is I will post the link:
HAIR IT IS!
Heh! My response to this sort of statement is to the effect of "Funny, women don't seem to have any problem telling that I am a man..."
Well, having a mid life crisis is better then being old from birth.
I don't think that getting old means you have to adopt the styles of an older generation instead of your own. Men my age mostly either had longer hair when they were younger, or else wanted to but didn't do it. I have noticed that quite a few grow out their hair when they get older, in fact a lot grow it out when they retire. I don't think that's the same thing as a mid-life crisis, though.
FWIW, even a guy getting a fast car in middle age is probably doing it because it's the first time he can afford it! Yes, I did that, I admit, and just for that reason.
OTOH, I grew mine out at 15, and then grew it longer still at 23, and now I'm 54. Short hair is a distant memory from my childhood and early teens, so nobody can pretend that I have grown it as part of a mid-life crisis.
