Hi Mark (and also hi to Bill & David N. and others I should have replied to),
A very belated and very big THANK YOU for the great time I had with you during your California visit last week -- as well as thanks to those of you who made comments about the pic that Mark took of me while we were on tour at the Anchor Steam brewery!
For those of you that have never met Mark in-person, he is a true gentleman (a very gentle man) -- easy to be around, polite & very considerate of others, and best of all: FUN to be around!! He also was very kind to include me by getting an extra ticket to tour San Francisco's Anchor Steam Brewery with him on the day that we bee-bopped around town playing SF tourists.
It was funny, considering the fact that I'm basically a non-drinker, how much I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED going on that brewery tour -- including tasting all of their beers & ales afterwards (and OMG, I'm embarrassed to admit how much I've fallen in love with one of their dark beers, it's DELICIOUS)!!!!!!!!
Should someone call 911 or an AA hotline to do a preventative intervention for me? No, I'll be OK, I promise -- I haven't gotten all shit-faced yet, so no worries (LOL)!! But I do admit that I'l probably buy myself a 6-pack of Breckle's Brown someday, as that is truly the best beer I've ever tasted!
My apologies for being away from the hyperboard so much recently, as I've realized I've missed some great updates. I haven't even had the time to lurk recently; but I did scroll down as far down the page as to Duncan's great update late last night -- your mane is lookin' hands-down TERRIFIC, mate!
Anyway, back to my main thank you to Mark:
Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!! And thank you also for your kind treating myself & Even to dinner at that wonderful Italian restaurant later that night -- it was a great day, for sure (and my apologies for being so late in saying so)!!!
Long Lox 4ever,
Ken in San Francisco
Hi Ken,
Ha ha,just saw your post pop up after I made a comment to that music thread below.Thank you so much for that build up as you better be careful as I might get a big head to go with the big hair!LOL.Seriously I was honored to spend the day with you and eventually Eve when he joined us later that day.Your a great tour guide being you know the city so well:)What other tourist gets that kind of expertise!
Oh yes, Anchor Brewing Co. puts on a great tour and its refreshing in this day and age they still provide such a service. The tours are totally free but one needs to make an appointment to be on one.I'm so happy to read you enthusiasm about the experience as I hoped you would have enjoyed it.
Also had fun being in the Castro again despite the fog mist we had to endure;)Guess it wouldn't be SF without that.Oh how I miss California the minute the plane took off to fly back east.Well just as a heads up I'm planning on a return trip this September so at least it won't be that long before I'm back again.
So Ken, thank you for adjusting your work schedule to spend this day with me.I also enjoyed all my other friends I've met during that week who I mentioned in earlier posts below.I so miss everyone of them.Have a great day Ken while I watch the raindrops here in the east:(
Take care my friend:)
