Hey guys,
It has been forever since I posted here. It is great to see lots of the same ones from when I posted here all the time a few years ago. I have been so frikkin busy with work that I just never think to get online here. I still have long hair, just whiter as it goes. I just trimmed it a little because I like the way it looks best around shoulder length. For me, it seems when it gets longer that it looks a little stringy. It is basically the same length as in the little avatar photo that pops up on posts here. Also, I wanted to share something else. We often read stories here about guys' woes in the working world associated with long hair.
Well, together, my hair and I have been employed in academia as an English teacher at the college level, which has been enjoyable and lots of work. This year, my hair and I were awarded "Advisor of the Year" at my school, and I was picked as one of the community's "40 under 40" with a picture in the paper and everything. Guys, never think for a minute your beautiful long hair is going to hold you back. You just have to find your niche and work hard. See the link below. I'm on the second row. I'm not rooting my own horn but rather just trying to strengthen the longhair cause.
Beijos!

Don't bother.......the link doesn't work.
You may have to be logged in to Facebook. It worked for me, using Safari and Mac OS 10.4 on my iMac desktop, except that the thumbnails were all strung out in one horizontal row. When I narrowed the browser window as much as it would let me, then the page stacked the thumbnails and the description of "which one" made sense. This made the page really skinny, and my guess is that the "m" in the URL meant it was a "mobile phone" version of the page.
To Matt: Congratulations!
Bill
Great to hear from you, Matt, and good to know things are going well for you, apparently quite well.

On the above link if edit the link to remove the m. extension
it will work.
Great to hear from you Matt.....and congratulations of finding your niche.
Hope you have more time to visit..

Hi Matt!
Have to say it's cool when long time users, such as yourself, who have been inactive just pop up again. Goes to show that mlhh remains with many past users whether they cut their hair or kept it long:)Glad to hear your been successful with your work and remained a longhair too.Hopefully more will take notice of that fact.Cheers my friend...

Hi Matt,
Good to hear from you and I do remember you well from your past participation here. I remember how astute and good some of the quality of your posts were.
cheers,
Duncan
Nice photo to see long hair combined with success in professional employment. Your hard work has paid off.
It helps a lot more if other men in the office also have long hair, so you dont stand out. Then it feels much more secure. I was undoing the tangles on the crown of my hair again at my desk early morning yesterday when I looked down the hall to see the GIS technician in his office. He wears his beautiful long black hair down to the shoulder blade level, well combed out. His straight front hair was falling forward over his paperwork, He reached forward to pull his hair back over the shoulder. Other coworkers notice these gestures, but mention nothing. The technical work gets done. These are not feminine gestures, but movements associated with managing and enjoying long hair. The office gets better used to myself and two others with long hair, rather than one long haired guy alone. As the three of us continue to get more specialized in our work functions, we can hopefully become more irreplaceable in our niche. Co-workers can then better assimilate us in the office and how we look in group photos with them.
