Yuppie and Republican type women will not accept you for you you are and will try to change you. don't even give them the time a day.
you're best searching for some rebel and/or nonconformist female types that detest the Yuppie and Republican female types themselves!
also, for the younger guys out there yuppie and republican types also includes the young "preppie" females.
Number One rule: Don't cut your hair! not for anyone at any time. you wanted to grow it long so keep it. it should be your decision to cut it if you ever want to and not because you succumbed to peer pressure or a girlfriend.
Number Two rule: Do not dress to impress the Yuppie or Republican female types. Dress the way you feel comfortable.
if you like all black clothes. Doc Martins, and wearing silver jewelry do it if this what makes YOU feel comfortable and if some woman suggests you brighten up a bit tell her where to get off!
wearing uptight Yuppie type clothes will be your undoing! It's probably NOT who you are anyway so you would be pretending to be something that you are not.
once you disregard either of the following rules it is a matter of time before she expects you to give in and cut your hair off and go the "G.Q" route, but then she'll eventually get tired of you and leave you anyway and you'll feel like you've lost your self-confidence.
if you like long hair and some women don`t Fuck them! you don't want some narrow-minded materialistic bitch in your life anyway!
go with women who won't ever try to change you!
Agreed!

Yuppies can be either Democrats or Republicans
when I referenced "Republicans" I was referring to traditional conservative church going types, not rednecks like Ted Nugent.
I just wanted to clarify that and yes , I am aware of the numerous long haired rednecks like Nugent who kill animals for sport and hate Obama and I have no use for them either. probably less than conservatives or yuppies!
Not sure how much Nugent kills just for sport, but I do know that he either raises or hunts ALL of the meat his family consumes, which I believe is an ethical practice. I'm not a Republican, and I'm not defending the right wingers. I'm just a man and a lifelong hunter, and I think it's important to make the distinction that hunting and killing an animal for the sake of eating it is not an immoral act.

Round pegs in round holes, square pegs in square holes. It makes the world so much simpler, doesn't it?
If a longhair claims to be a Republican and hates Obama he is more than likely to be a full unadulterated Redneck like Ted Nugent.
a true longhair would not endorse right-wing candidates like Nugent does and he has always been a phony from the start!
a Redneck can have long or short hair, but unfortunately some have long hair.
there may be some rednecks among you, but from what I've seen thus far most are real longhairs.
You, sir, seem to be intent on showing yourself to be just as bigoted and prejudiced as the people you profess to disagree with.
You're telling me, in no uncertain terms, that because I dislike and disagree with many of the President's policies that I must be some extremist, nut-job Redneck. That because I have often supported conservative candidates, I can't be a true longhair. Just exactly what do you propose as the qualifications to be a "true" longhair? I always thought that the fact that I've been growing my hair for nine years now and the fact that it's long enough for me to sit on was good enough, but now I have to join a particulat political party? Wow. Tough room.
I'm sorry, but one's attitude towards hair has little to nothing to do with one's political viewpoints.
Maybe you ought to think back to that line mothers have been famous for... "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all."

My wife is even more conservative, politically speaking, than I am, and she's got no problem whatsoever with my hair. What I do with my head is my business. She's never tried to dictate my clothing choices, or what I do with my spare time. And by the way, we've been married for 29 years now, so I'm thinking if she was going to try and change me, she'd have gotten started by now.
Stereotyping cuts both ways. It's fairly hypocritical to complain that people stereotype longhairs when you're busy stereotyping Republicans as a bunch of control freaks.

I was generalizing based on what others had previously said
regarding conservative women and yuppie type women aka materialistic types.
I am not saying you cannot vote for certain candidates of either party, but why would you pick Romney after what recently came out about him cutting off some kids hair and laughing about it when questioned about it recently.
it was not directed at you.
perhaps times have changed, but I still think the majority of long-haired guys still lean a little left of center.
not all, but most
and to quote a once famous longhair who sold his soul for wall-street
"Young kids identify short hair with authority, discipline, unhappiness, boredom, hatred of life and long hair with just "letting go." Wherever we go, our hair tells people where we stand on Vietnam, lawless campus destructions, and drugs. We're living TV commercials for the revolution. Long hair is the beginning of our liberation from sexual oppression. "-Jerry Rubin
