Yes, this is entirely off-topic (although I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's bad for hair, too). I just don't want any of my friends from the MLHH to get poisoned by this crap.

Wow Val,this stuff sound evil to me.Thanks for the heads up as yea,I believe them when they say it's harmless to humans even though it detonates the bugs!I assume this is just done for corn on the cob or is it on even the frozen veriety?Gee whiz, what's next!

I'm not a religious guy and I don't throw around value judgements lightly, but Monsanto really is an "evil empire." Don't be surprised to find this in the frozen and canned variety, as well. Your best bet is to shop local and organic, as much as possible.

Just lovely, I suspect the government minions are trying to kill us. I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist. I do suspect that those in control (the greedy 1%) do want us to live shorter lifespans to avoid paying out retirement benefits. Call me paranoid, but I do believe this is possible.

Lots of talk about Monsatan's "food" poison over on current.com communities section. Look up Janforgore, she covers alot of the nasty things this corporation is doing to destroy the planet's food supply. While off topic, it is something EVERYONE should become aware of. One of the shout it from the mountains topics for sure. One of the "lovely" things they do is insert a self destruct gene into food DNA so you can't save seeds to replant for next growing season. You will be forced to buy their seed or die. Problem is that these genetic changes litteraly drift on the wind and mix into the environment. It could start a massive die off of wild plants as their seeds could pick up the kill switch gene and then, bye bye. Oh, they're messing with trees too, it's not just food. The S.O.B.s

I have no plans to debate the issue, it is your opinion - to which I will defend your right etc - in the meantime we must move on in the twenty first century.
As to do I... beating up on Monsanto seems to be a pet topic of the new-age community. Sure some of it is deserved but most of it is just baseless psuedo-scientific nonsense.
Especially the rubbishing of FDA studies and opinion as being mere 'puppets'. That's rather typical of new-age conspiracy thinking, if some organisation disagrees with your world-view, paint them as part of the conspiracy. Its illogical, baseless and ultimately way off topic for this board.
How on earth can we avoid this stuff. Wind drift takes their seed everywhere, and the SOBs even sue the farmers whose land it drifts onto!
