Would you cut your long hair if you had to for job or cut it due to negative critical comments from people? My feeling is before I would have so i can be accepted. But than I thought that it wouldn't make me happy doing something that others want me to look like. Because you only have 1 life and should enjoy doing what you want. What would you do?
Negative commentary from annoying people merely hardens my resolve. I can count the number of times I've gotten negative comments on one hand, but I've gotten more positives than this place probably has hands for!
No way. I'd find another job.
(For the record for the last 26 years i've worked fot s company
where I can wear my hair as long as I want, can wear whatever clothes I want. Most of the time i'm wearing shorts,
jeans or overalls.
I strive to satisfy myself, not others. If they don't like it they
can lump it.
At the ripe old age of 57 i don't care what other people think
of my hair.
Quite simple - no.
Already did it once only because of my own personal choice, not cutting ever again. Don't care who says what, they can look for my response where the sun don't shine. Also, in the field I want to go into, having such close-minded thoughts would be discouraging.
If I did (or was considering it), I would ask myself why? And if the answer was because I got some negative comments about it, then No. If it was because I wanted to cut it, then I would follow the two week rule and log in to this site during those two weeks and I would change my mind and not cut it. Unfortunately alot of people get conditioned into believing that boys/men have no business growing long hair. An example of this was this 5 year old boy who cut his hair because his friends were teasing him.
