Apparently, a bit of a political controversy arose the other day at a high school somewhere in the U.S. A student got into a verbal dispute with a teacher over whether he was being respectful to the president. Anyway, the kid is featured on a television video interview that is posted on a website called HotAir.com. He has beautiful thick curly hair, which he is wearing loose in the interview. I mention this because below the video is a section where people post comments. A handful of stupid troglodytes made negative comments about his hair. They were vastly outnumbered by other commentors who said, variously (1) he had a right to wear his hair any way he wanted; (2) his hair style had nothing to do with his intelligence, courage, or other moral qualities; (3) if anyone had an issue with his hair, that was that person's psychological or maturity problem, not his; (4) his hair was beautiful and should be admired; and (5) he should be admired for growing it out and wearing it long. So -- the bottom line for those newbies who are anxious about how they will be perceived by others once they grow their hair --from the look of things there are plenty of people who tolerate, respect, or love the look. And some of them are self-proclaimed short haired "conservatives." I find this very heartening and encourage you to read the comments below that video interview.

It's good to hear that there are more and more people oposing the narrow-minded people that think men are supposed to have short hair.
Also, extra points for the term troglodyte. :)
