Maybe it is just me, but it seem more pro baseball players are displaying longer hair this year. One player on my beloved Cincinnati Reds has really nice hair pitcher Mike Leake, but so does pitcher Bronson Aroyo. Well just throwing that out.

I've noticed a number long haired baseball players
have sold out in recent years and chopped off their hair.
Notable among those are Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez.
Are there many less long haired players or am I just missing
eeeing them?
Don't forget Tim Lincecum who pitches for the San Francisco Giants. The media have nicknamed him "The Freak" because of his long hair. While doing great on the ball field, he faced a minor pot smoking charge, and in line with baseball's strong superstition that when things are going well, you don't change a thing, there was a lot of sentiment to leave Timmy alone and let him keep smoking his weed. T-shirts appeared all over town saying, "Let Tim Smoke!" The team management was not excited about the image this conveyed, but there was not much they could do.
I have a shirt like that with a big pot leaf on it, and locals "get it", but it leaves out of towners scratching their heads.
