How many of you are old enough to recall when it was not considered "proper" for a young lady to wear her hair long and natural.
I have a story that I would like to share which might encourage you to think that things do change for the better over time.
when I was in 6th grade back in the early 1960s there was this pretty girl who had the most gorgeous long hair which she parted on the side.
then one day she came into school and I was in shock to discover that her once gorgeous mane had been reduced to what appeared to be a hideous Shirley Temple like do.
many of the girls in high school at that time had yet to discover how long natural hair was a better alternative to short and stiff hairdos, but that would change within a few years.
today, what was once considered "improper" is now the norm for a woman. long loose natural looking hair even parted in the middle is quite acceptable and worn even by numerous models and celebrities alike as well as women in all professions.
I tell you this because I do think there will be a day when long hair is the accepted norm again(it was centuries ago) for Men regardless of profession.
eventually it will not be necessary to 'hide' your hair for a job and that day is not that far off imho.
you guys are like a breath of fresh air. the postings and the photos of your progress which you upload and pics of athletes, actors, and male models confirm change is in the air.
it's like what Bob Dylan sang back in the early 1960s
"The Times they are a changin'"
within a couple of years things had radically changed!
I see change on the horizon again!

In Asheville, NC men with long hair are everywhere, except in the gay community, and I am one of the few with long hair. My hair is fine, unfortunately also thinning [I am an old man] so I keep it in a bun or held with a celtic clasp when I am out and about and at work.

I hate my apple laptop. It does many things I do not think I have commanded.
Hopefully, here is the other picture I intended to post.
Your hair is wonderful, man.
