I would really like to start doing this everyday. Even more so since I have to wash everyday. My hair is naturally dry. It works 10x better than any conditioner I've tried!! Right now I'm using jojoba oil in the growing out phase. OR would this be too much?
For me oiling daily would be way too much.My hair is very fine so over oiling would make it clump together and look lousy. It's a delicate balance to use oil as a conditioner but not too excessive making ones hair look like it hasn't been washed in a month when you had just done that.

Hi Michael,
Everyone's hair is different, therefore, different things work for different people. If you see good results oiling everyday, then by all means continue to do so. There is nothing bad that I could think of with oiling hair on a daily basis. I believe that your hair will let you know what it wants, so try to listen to it.
For me, I naturally have dry thick coarse wavy/curly hair that loves to be oiled everyday with extra virgin coconut oil. I also know my hair is very porous so I can put a heavy amount of coconut oil in the morning, bun my hair, and then by almost the end of the day my hairs would of soaked up all the oil i've put from the morning.
It's all about getting to know your own hair, its texture, how porous, and experimenting with a routine(s) that will best work for the needs of your own hair.
Good luck,
rowie
Thanks rowie
I'm wondering if I'm hair isn't very porous to begin with. If If I don't oil on any given day, it just goes back to it's dry hard to work with self. Not near as frizzy as it once was, however I think that's more due to length than the dry factor.
Thinking about trying sweet almond oil when my jojoba runs out.
If you're washing your hair every day that shouldn't be a problem, but even if you don't, you can still add a little oil every day. It's really just a case of getting to know your hair and how much to apply. Start off with a small amount - it's easy enough to add more if necessary. Make sure you brush your hair throughly from scalp to ends after oiling to distribute it properly. Oiling while the hair is still wet also helps to retain moisture.
