Ever since I started growing out my hair I have just stopped going to the gym. I originally just stopped going because I was lazy, but for the past couple years, I haven't gone SPECIFICALLY because of my hair.
My problem is that I only wash my hair every other day. I have naturally straight hair and I find that when I wash it too often (every day), it gets too dry. I also DO NOT blow-dry my hair, EVER.
I want to start going back to the gym, but I find myself not wanting to because I don't want to wash my hair in the middle of the day (meaning that I would have to blow-dry it). Walking around with wet hair after a shower, or sweaty hair by not washing it after a workout isn't an option.
The solution I figured was to just go towards the end of the day, but the gyms are way too crowded then, since everyone goes after work or during the night time. Plus, I can't consistently rely on a night time workout because it's all based on how the rest of the day goes.
So I'm wondering if anyone else has these issues with the gym and your hair, or if you have any advice about it.
I go to the gym every other day, I don't shower there, I shower
when i get home. (Never got into the showering with other
guys thing. Call it a hangover from high school.
I use shampoo only about once a week, the rest of the time i only
use conditioner.
The time go to the gym varies from day to day.
Never tried only conditioning. What effect does that have on your hair? Why not shampoo every time you condition?
The Conditioner provides conditioning (replacing the oils stripped away by shampoo. Since I only use shampoo once a week i use the
conditioner to keep the hair from getting damaged.
