Hi all,
Well, another month has come and gone already :p . Got a trim this month... first one in almost a year and a half. Needed it, too, because I was pulling out my scraggly, frizzy hair like crazy @o@ ...
Also ran into a bit of a dandruff problem this month, but looks like it's beginning to clear up (thank goodness ~o~ ). I was reading all of these horror stories on the net about people loosing their hair while being prescribed the same stuff I was by my dermatologist, so for a time I was afraid that the same thing was going to happen to me... luckily not :D ! Thanks to the many people who had helped out ^^ !
Otherwise, the only other hair-related thing this month is that my wife says that this may be my last update :/ . Seems there's a bit of a standoff growing between her and my hair ~_~ . I ultimately know who's going to win in the end but I'll hold my end as much as I can all the way ;p .....
(not too sure if my picture is worth posting this month, but I know what Ian's said before so, hmmm... here it is :) !~)

On a side note: I apologize to everyone for over the past few months that I was wearing my emotions on my sleeve. I realize that this isn't facebook (now I don't do facebook - really ^_~ !)... that this is a hair forum and I just babbled on a little bit too much. Sorry to anyone I had turned off, promise it won't happen again ;) .....
Hi Eric, and thanks for sharing your latest update. Your hair is certainly looking a little shorter, but nonetheless still a great mane with so much potential. You need to have a serious discussion with your wife before making any decisions about cutting or not posting - I hope in the stand-off your hair wins! Never apologise for wearing your heart on your sleeve. It's good to share your thoughts, anxieties and emotions especially with like minded people on this board who have often gone though similar experiences.

Yeah, this month took me a little by surprise, not sure what happened - if it was the much-needed trim, stress... not sure what. A little disappointing, especially when compared to how fast some folks' hair grows around here, yours for one ^_~ . Ah well, hopefully this month was a step, next month will be a leap ^_^ !
We'll see about the hair stand-off... hopefully for the better >_> *gulp* heh.....

No problem with showing your hair to us as that's what its all about my friend:)I know it's possible to overdo the updates but it seems like you've struck the happy medium.
Not sure what you meant by a standoff with your wife but hopefully that doesn't translate into a haircut to short:(Booooo!

About my wife :p ??? Hmmm, well my wife about a week or so ago said I would "Soon either have to choose between my family or my hair." Then last night when I asked if she could take a picture, she said "This may be my last update" @_@ . There were some other things she said prior to a week ago... something about job comes first, not getting hired because of my hair, stuff like that ~_~ . I know she doesn't want to hurt my feelings because she knows I really like my hair, but at the same time I know she really hates it. Ying and yang to the extreme :p . Actually, no one in my family likes it - no supporters :/ . That's pretty much it. Wife usually wins, so I think I know how how this is going to end :( . Ah well, two and a half years have been a great ride :) !
But I think many of us have been through this before ^_~ - the story we can all share :p heh. I'm still hoping for the best, though... that she'll forget or something :D ~
Anyways, please have a great weekend, too and I hope you are able to enjoy the same weather we have out here ^^ . 80°? Not bad :D !!!

I don't know if your camera supports it but a number of cameras
have a self timer on them so you can take a photo and give yourself time to get in the picture.

I'm 57 years old, started growing my hair in 1964, and have been married for 25 years. I've gotten complaints from my wife about
how long my hair is, i've always stood my ground and insisted that my hair will remain long. So after a number of years of
complaints the complaints stopped, the hair has remained long,
and one thing I do to compromise is tie it back in a pony tail
or or braid it.
And for many of those 25 years my hair has been significantly longer than here.
So don't give up hope. BTW, i've been working at the same company for 26 years, I work in an office, can wear my hair as long as i want, and wear whatever clothes i want. (Most of the
time it is usually shorts, cut off shorts, jeans (sometimes with holes in them), overalls,

My wife and I have been married for eight years now... sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but we have a pretty good handle on each other when one disagrees with the other :p . She's backed off now, so it's all good (for now ^_~ )... I don't know what was bugging her then :p . Maybe just nerves :/ ?~

Oh Eric, what you said in your reply to me is sooo disturbing my friend. I have to be honest in saying I feel your wife is very jealous of you with long hair.Why you may ask but its very obvious.Dollars to donuts she feels threatened by the fact that another woman would be extremely attracted to you with long hair and she wants none of that.Why else would she be against it? I'm not buying that job argument at all as that is just rubbish.As for your family I'm sure they are thinking of your best interests but really, why so hung up on your hair?Believe me you could be involved in a lot worse than just wanting to have something that makes you happy:)Oh how I could go on and on but I'm sure you understand what I'm telling you.If I were you I'd just blow off their opinions and do what you feel is right and absolutely hurts no one.Cheers my friend.

Hmmm... I dunno >_< . One thing I think is pretty sure, though, is the blowing it off is right ^_~ . Haven't heard a complaint from anyone lately - including my wife, since the beginning of the month :p ! She actually helped braid my hair today :o !!! The mysteries of life, the mysteries of women, the mysteries of marriage :p heh. July 1st will be the big test, but for right now, a cautious sigh of relief ~o~ . We'll have to see what happens around the corner ;p .....

The regular people here love hearing your updates! I agree with Long Hair in Albany in that you should stand your ground. But at the same time I can understand wanting to make your wife happy. Is it possible to compromise and cut your hair back to shoulder length, and then keep it nicely tied into a ponytail? Because I can see you fixing your hair at that length with a clean tied back professional look, while at the same time have enough length to do a full pony tail. I'm only suggesting this because it is so difficult to get through the awkward stage, and it's not fair to you being that you love longhair that you should have to keep going through this stage.
With yin and yang I believe there is a middle ground, and maybe it's time you explore what these "middle ground" options may be so that everyone can be happy.

After I read it, it made me feel so much better :) !!! If worst comes to worst, there is actually a fall-back plan and you've spelled it out :D ! Of course, it would be a last choice, but it's better than nothing ^_~ ...
