A old friend has come to visit here at the six month point. I simply call it the cowlick from hell and it'll be hanging around until the 12mo point at least. NO amount of hair cement or mousse will tame this thing so under the backward hat it stays until it gets weighed down. I'll post again at the 8mo point, which it's getting hard as it's pushing 110 degrees which makes a bald head almost seem refreshing lol.
Sorry, but there is nothing refreshing about a bald head be it 0 degrees or 120 degrees and that's Fahrenheit!LOL.It's when it gets hot and humid that separates the born longhair from the rest of the herd:)I'm sure your are not the latter;)Cheers my friend.

Luckily we have dry heat out in the high deserts of CA. I have a spray bottle with ice water in it and just spray my head and face with it every so often, bout' all you can do.
Wish it would hurry and be December again >< Sorry guys that live in snow places but us desert rats hate what is referred to as "summer".
Actually I've been to Pheonix in July and experienced those 100 degree + tempuratures but you know what, I 'll take that anyday over an 80 degree day with humidity. It' s the most disgusting feeling out of all the four seasons here in the east. So count your blessings and run with that my friend:) Cheers

Ex Texas resident here...Humidity no thanks I can't stand that feeling like your in a sauna 24/7. I wholeheartedly agree I'd rather have the CA dry hear any day.
I second you on the 80 degree day with humidity. At least your hair doesn't frizz up like my hair. I'm so glad i'm done with the freaking awkward stage, shoot I practically wore a bandanna for a whole year, only because it's a nightmare to have wavy/curly hair at that stage. I don't ever want to go through that again. ughhhhh!

Oh, I do!
Nothing like sitting in the shade with a good breeze and thinking it is a bit chilly, before you check the thermometer and see a number with a 9 in front of it!
Never ever going back to the 90/90 misery...although I do understand cropped hair under those conditions.
I concur that the 90/90 conditions are unbearable as I'd take any other temperature over it even though I despise freezing cold temps.Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!Even though 90/90 is tough to deal with having long hair I'd never chop mine because of it.I've learned to suffer and deal with the discomfort.Oh, and hair sticks are a great way to keep longhair from sticking to your neck during the worst humidity:) Cheers

What's hair sticks?
You know, tools that many guys are afraid of using these days to bun hair and protect the ends from friction if you plan to grow hair to extreme lengths. LOL
Living in Phx. Az. I know well the heat of summer (it was 112 the other day) And how the first summer of hair growth I just suffered through the awkward stage. Keep the faith, though. By next summer. You should be able to pull it into a short tail, at least. As for cowlicks. Yeah, I had a whole shock of hair that did the "stand upo and be counted" thing. As length increased , it layed down nicely.
Looks like you are well on the way to be a long hair. Your hair is looking good, it will take some time but the rewards will pay off for you. Tom
