In the beginning of this year, a lady took a foot off my hair length...
Yeah, I'm self-trimming now.
Anyways, it was just above my elbows and this picture was taken in May 12th.
I'm taking a picture once a month to look back on the progress.
Here is my question:
The front pieces of my hair are so much thinner than the rest (the back) I'm wondering if this is natural due to shedding and the fact that there isn't as much hair in the front than the back.
My front pieces are about 1 inch or so shorter than the rest.
and you can clearly see the thinness of the sides.
I'm not sure if I should cut them shorter or what.
You can see in the picture below on the right side the shorter piece.
idk, what is your take on it?
Your hair looks great. I would cut absolutely nothing.
I agree. If your trying to grow it longer, just let it grow.

Your hair looks fine, just let it grow. It grows really fast and you should reach classic length in maybe a year.

I don't think you have a thing to worry about Smitts. Your hair looks natural, full and is a great length already. Just keep away from trims and let it grow!
I agree with everyone so far. Your ends look healthy therefore you should avoid trimming. Do you use any oils?
cheers,
rowie
No.
I only put in leave in conditioner after every shower.
Wow your hair length is amasing, great looking very long hair.

I rather like the feathering effect. I think mine's a bit less than a foot shorter than yours but with much more of a cutoff effect at the ends than I'd like.
Your hair is awesome, breaux!!
I'm curious -- did you tell this woman to take one foot off the length? That's two years of growth. If you didn't tell her and she took it off on her own initiative, did you pay her?
My mother paid her.
I didn't pay anything.
And I only asked for 2 inches off at MAX
Seriously, I would go after her cosmetology license.
