Was wondering if you guys could edit my previous posts to be a bit anti-spammish like this post. This place is crawling with email harvesters, and the software here provides exactly *zero* defense. I'm getting flooded with spam!
I love you guys, but the spammers are making me regret ever posting! How do I stop the flood or find the actual idiots behind the spambots to make them regret their careers?
As a regular poster, I'd like to point out that including your email address is optional. I don't include mine - just sending it to individual people if there's a particular reason to do so, and I am sure that helps to reduce spam.
This site does not show your e-mail address in your posts, so it's unlikely you are getting spam because of being active here. The site won't even let strangers to the site e-mail you through the site remailer. I've not gotten a spam from this site in many years.
Oh, how do you make a post "anti-spammish"? Inquiring minds want to know! You could make the whole Internet "anti-spammish", and devout Christians would love you more than they love Jesus Christ.
Sorry about that, I guess it's coming from somewhere else. As for 'anti-spammish' I meant the idea of adding extraneous crap to the email addy in ways easy for humans to decode, which is known as address munging. Something like adding random capitalized letters and telling the readers to remove the caps?
That would be counter-productive for users here, because the only one to see their e-mail addresses is the software, and it is not bright enough to understand instructions.

I've got my email address listed here, and that email address gets
exactly zero spam.
Come on, it's free food. Unfortunately, I don't know whether it's conducive to hair growth or not.
Highly unlikely to be from here. Suggest you look at your other uses including emails.
Is your anti virus software working/up to date?
I can't say I've ever had any spam as a result of being on here.
