Surely Damon and Ian might know of some Men with long hair that attended that event?
hopefully England is not bassackwards like the U.S. and have a high proliferation of guys with super short hair and buzzcuts?
Wasn't it England where the Long Hair trend of the past century originated back in the 1960s?
Funny you should mention that! Okay, I wasn't in London but here I am in Portsmouth and it WAS a special Jubilee event.
There is a proliferation of guys with super short hair and buzzcuts in the more Third World regions of England - but in more enlightened areas (especially university towns) there are LOADS of us! :)

That SHOULD read:
... there are LOADS of us with long hair!
It's not that we all LIKE long hair. Far from it. It's a real pain at times. We just grow it long to annoy unimaginative clones with short hair. It irritates the hell out of them ... and that's gotta be a plus right? :)
And of course long hair IS cool. If everyone had long hair, then short hair would be cool. That's just the way it works.

LOL. yep. I can't wait to become a longhair so I can annoy the uptight ones! ;-)
speaking of Long Hair, I ran across another band which I will post a link to performing. I think this band might be appeal to a wide range of people here.
stay tuned........
Sorry Ashley, I suspect most of stayed at home out of the wind and rain and enjoyed the celebrations by watching it on TV!
"that event" as you describe it was a number of events nationally plus many locally. Crowds in The Mall leading to Buckingham Palace were said to have reached 1m people. Unless someone deliberately went out to photograph crowds and individuals, which would not have been easy, it is highly unlikely that many such photohraphs will exist save by accident.
Do not express such surprise or read anything into it. There are many long haired men in the UK.
