Hey there guys, I was originally going to wait for 12 months and post an update then, but last night I went to a friend's wedding, and slightly straightened my hair on the ends. It looked so good, that I just had to post a pic. Here's me at 11 months.
Looking really good Isaac! Now you are probably at that stage where you can finally do a French braid, at least it was for me at the twelve month mark or earlier. You have wonderful hair, and thanks for sharing your update!

Thanks Raymond! The ends of my hair are actually just like that naturally. My hair on top is straight, while the back and sides are wavy. It's going to look much better as it gets longer and heavier.
I'm planning on growing past shoulder length and maintaining it around that area. If it looks good, I might even grow it further.

haha yeah all short haired guys there.... One guy who I know actually had the slicked back look and came up to me and said that I motivated him to grow his hair, so he's actually about 3 months in now, which for him is a whole lot.

Don't straighten your hair, no matter where... it'll damage, and anyways, curly/wavy hair looks good :D ! Looking good, by the way ^_^ ! 12 is always a big milestone... don't do what I did and whack off the bottom at the suggestion of someone else ^_~ heh...
