Hallo. A sad story occured recently - put my had in a bucket with really hot water - probably 60 degrees by Celsium. Won't be telling how it happened.
There's no damage to my head. But worrying concerning my hair. Is it doomed, and the growth and strength of it will be affected badly?
Or I still can have hope to keep my hair?
Why should it cause such a doomsday scenario?
Hair is not the fragile commodity you suggest. At most continue to condition as you might normally and get on with your life.
60 degrees celsius = 140 degrees fahrenheit.
Your hair should be fine.
A few seconds out of the hot water and the hat most likely cooled down to a normal hot shower would be. Fabrics like those
in a hat usually don't hold the heat for long. So most likely cooled down alot by the time you got it onto your head.
I've discovered this when I had to give a pateint in the house
a hot compress which doesn't stay hot very long.
I like taking steam showers, or at least having the water being very hot -- I scalded myself to take care of some hives that I had a few months ago.
But would these hot showers and saunas be that bad to my hair? I've been taking my showers that hot now and my hair looks to be normal.
