By now everyone's heard about the elderly woman by the name of Karen Kline who was bullied on the bus by some middle school kids, but not everyone may be yet aware of the name of the young Man by the name of Max Sidorov, who was bullied himself as a school child and has set up an account for donations on Karen's behalf.
early this morning the total amount of donations had exceeded $500,000.
now , I am hearing a rumour that someone has set up a site to help for donations for Max himself.
anyway, I could not locate a decent pic of Max, but I think this is a perfect role model for guys with long hair, and for that matter anyone else.
imho, I think we need more people like Max and fewer bullies in this world!

Having been a Paraeducator... Bus Monitor... Teacher Assistant... whatever you want to call it (there are so many names) - Like ABC News said when they first told the story, (something like) "Maybe it's not that there's more bullying going in schools, maybe there's just more cellphones with cameras to capture it happening to students and Bus Monitors alike."
Being on the low-end of the totem pole is not a fun place to be. If I had my choice, a lot more kids would get put in their place and off of their high-stool where they should be (not talking physically, don't get me wrong ^_~ ). If some parents only knew.....
Sorry, I didn't mean high stool - I meant high horse or high pedestal @o@ ... man, that sounded bad >< ! I better get some sleep - the Chinese fire drill awaits tomorrow with a cook-out with my family :p huh ~_~ .....
Sincerely,
yoshiki
(don't sound too dumb, Eric!~)
I'm just glad that I was a city bus driver, and not a _school_bus driver, so I could lay down the law and get away with it. The kids knew that I had no problem with putting them on the street if they failed to follow the rules I gave them on the first day of each school year. A decade later I get young adults come up to me and thank me for being a strong adult figure!
