Hey long hairs. I am about 7 months in, and I'm in the awkward stage. Can't wait to get the hair going. How are you all with the ladies?
I noticed that, now-a-days, most girls want a clean cut, military look. I can't do that. Of course, I am not doing this for the approval of women. I just noticed women are not as responsive to me, in this 7 month awkward stage. Or maybe it's me. ANyways, thanks for reading.
At the ripe old age of 57 I have no interest in the ladies.
I've been very happily married to my wife of 25 years now, so she is the only lady i'm interested in.
It's a different type of girl that tends to like the long haired guy (in my experience anyway). And typically it's the funner, smarter girls who are.
You know something, I always had a knack for those "Different" type of girls. I tend to like girls with shorter hair (Go figure) - but also, artistic, weird types as well. That's just who I have always been into.
Yup, artistic, weird, punky, nerdy, could-probably-kick-my-ass-if-they-really-wanted-to girls are who I go for too lol
I agree. I just went to a renasaince fair dressed as a bucanerr. I had my ass length hair down and flowing. I had about 12 different females want to dance with me to live basnds. I had the women buying me beer all day. I had sex in the parking lot in the back of girls dodge caravan. So it wss a good day for me. I bet NOT ONE SHORT HAIRED DORK GEEK saw the action I did! Long hair for me forever. I dont care what others do. I dont!
That's surprising because I found I got the most attention from the ladies when I was in the awkward stage. The ladies I've met seem to prefer a guy with hair that's long enough to make him stand out from the crowd, but not so long it threatens his masculine image; in other words, about chin length. Once my hair grew past that point I experienced a gradual decline in the number of girls who showed interest in me, with the exception of Asian girls, who usually prefer more androgynous guys.
I'll vouch for that "except for asian girls" part... side note, good thing I've kinda got a thing for asian girls :p

I'm getting the opposite reaction. Until about 8 months, I got more and more attention. After that point, instead of getting the *nice hair* comments I received more comments that went along the lines of offering a free haircut, parents own a salon, etc etc.
They much more prefer the K-pop type haircut (AKA the Bieber) than anything else, and they consider that long. (We all consider that short.)
On the other hand, I'm Asian, you guys are white, and I live in the western US, and you guys are presumably in Europe. That may make a difference.
Actually I'm on the east cost over here in Maryland. I'm not sure how long your hair is, but for me it was the same across the board involving girls when my hair reached 7-8 months to like a year and a half. Once it got to about nipple length, the compliments and playing with my hair and whatnot continued. It's like theres the awkward stage and then an overlapping and later awkward for girls stage lol

Very few women pay any attention to me, but I don't think it's because I have long hair. I think it's a combination of being old, overweight and having a wedding ring on my finger, LOL!
My current girlfriend made a beeline for me about two months ago. She says she was attracted by a combination: my long hair, the way I dressed, my taste in music - and the fact that she was f$@#ing desperate. :)
