I just officially joined the us army corp of engineers. I was hired site unseen. I scored the highest of all the applicants. I showed up at main headquarters as directed and was sworn in. I had my hair untied . It is past my ass! No one said anything negative to me. I have the same military id anyone else in the army has. I can go on any military base and shop and drink etc. This is so exciting to me, as regular army guys will see me and wonder how the hell I work for the army and getting away with this! I will update you here if I encounter any problems. I first found this board because I wanted to know how to hide my hair for this new job. I feel like I am out of the closet being a lomghaired male. I am going to let the chips fall where they may. They certainly cant fire me now just for having long hair. Later
I did not mean to ad "po" after ARMY it means nothing
See ... I wasn't kidding!! Now pierce both ears from top to bottom like I did. Then add a below-the-knee length goatee and thigh-length chops:)
Congrats Piratemale :D !
Along with that, paint your fingernails black and they'll really think something's up with you ;p .....
Here's cheering for 'ya ^_^ !
Sincerely,
Eric
Thanks Eric. Great idea. Maybe I will start a new trend at where I work.
Ahaaa haaa
It sounds like a regiment, but you're an army civilian. I know a guy who had long hair once upon a time, and has worked for the US Department of the Navy since forever. He cut his eventually, but that's his problem. Generally, there's no problem with long hair in US federal government jobs, even inside the Defence Department.
