Hi All, here is an update a week short of 15 months. Yesterday I was complimented on my hair by a stranger at the supermarket which took me by surprise. As I have quite a few streaks of grey in my hair I was even more surprised when I was told that the colour of my hair was really nice. Always nice to receive a compliment. Best to all. Lance

Your hair looks good, Lance. Curly hair is difficult to grow out, but well worth it. Keep it growing.

Hi Scott, thanks for the encouragement, much appreciated coming from one with such long hair as yourself. I think it will take 2 and half to 3 years to really start getting there so I am about half way to the beginning, and really enjoying it. Lance

As someone who is a 57 years old long with lots of grey hair
i'm glad to see your grey hair. All of my grey hair is natural
and I fully intend to keep it that way.
So yeah, that means that 20-30 years from now my hair will still be long (waist length) and all grey.
I always say that I worked hard to earn all that grey hair that
I have now. I intend to keep that grey hair and celebrate
that grey hair.

Well Lance, I completely agree with that stranger who told you that your hair color is really nice -- it IS really nice, quite beautiful, in fact, grey included!
I've always been jealous of folks who have naturally curly hair, which to my eyes makes long hair look even more spectacular...
OK, I'm turning green with envy now, just thinking about it (LOL)!!

Hi Ken in San Francisco, thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them. When I see the fantastic length of your hair, which looks amazing, and read that you cut it short in 2000 it gives me encouragement that I will get somewhere near there with patience.
Many years ago I spent a few months staying with friends and backpacking around your vast and fascinating country. I really enjoyed it and came away with such good memories. An amazing place America, so big and diverse that I am sure anybody could find a corner in it where they would be happy. A few months seems like a long time, but actually it only gave me a chance to scratch the surface and mostly only spend a few days in each place I went to. One of these places being your beautiful city where I was fortunate to spend a few days. I kept a sketch book of my travels in America, as my personal record of the trip, and although a bit off the subject have uploaded the one I did in San Francisco. Keep well. Lance
