Hello again! 11 months passed since I had my last haircut.
I've been enjoying this period a lot. And I love my hair, everything about it. As I told earlier, with hair I feel myself natural. It's the way I see myself.
During this period I learned how to stand against "get a haircut"-attacks. The best way is a joke. It's really easy to stay against friends and unknown people. But girls with their advices about "what exactly's wrong with my hairstyle" are really awful, I usually get a bad mood after such unpleasant conversations when they tell me about how bad I look with my long hair.
Still never had a single thought about getting a cut.
Usually I really love people with long hair. But recently I saw one guy with a hair similar to my both in color and a type. Not exactly the same, but from some distance it looked pretty much like the type I have (thin). His hair was much longer than my - probably chest-length. And... Well, he didn't look really good. He also had hair stucked behind the ears the way I usually wear my hair. His hair didn't look brilliant and his face looked somehow unnatural (face's not long, and I'd say it's absolutely round). It was the first time I wished to wonder how a long-haired would look with a shorter hair.
After that I got some doubts. I can't get a correct opinion from the side. So I decided to ask for your opinion. It's really important for me to know what do you think about my hair and get your advices on whether I should grow it further.
I love feeling my hair, so it would be really difficult for me to know that I shouldn't grow it, but still it's important for me to know.
I'll also post another photo with my hair from the back in a reply to this thread, so that you could get a better picture.
Thank you!
And here is the photo of my back.
And, probably, one more photo from the side
Your hair looks AWSOME and suites your face, you should try shoulder length and see how that looks. If you love the feel of your hair, you'll really love it longer!!! (I too LOVE the feel of soft hair and yours looks really soft)
What do you think of this length?
Hello! Greatly thanks for your reply and your opinion! My hair is really soft, you're absolutely right. And I do enjoy the feeling of it! Sometimes I feel how it falls on my shoulders - and it's something great :)
Yes, I really decided to let it grow for at least another one year and there I'll decide how I like it. But I'm sure I'll like it cause for now I love my hair more and more as it becomes longer.
The length on the photo is great and the hair also looks just perfect! Healthy, soft and beautiful!
Thank you again!

You have really nice hair, and you should just let it grow. Don't let anyone talk you into cutting it. It is your hair and your choice to have it long if you so desire.
Scott
Thank you. Probably I really will try and just let it grow.
There is only one way to find out: just let it grow longer and if you don't like how it looks at that length, you can always go back to your current length which you seem to like. Because you don't like the look of someone else hair doesn't mean it won't suit you.
And, your hair is looking absolutely fantasic even at the length it is now. One of the most "perfect" I have just about ever seen while in the so-called "Awkward Stage." Lucky! :-)
And you are so right about this. The perfect way to put the hecklers in ther place and also the easiest. :-)
I would be inclined to not asks these girls advice. Their remarks are way out of place. (The untactful way they put it.)Sure don't sound like well mannored nice young women. More like mouthy pigs. (But actually pigs are much nicer.)
Glad you came here for advice. An inspiration to all thinking of growing out their hair.
Justin~
Thanks for your warm words! They really help and inspire to let my hair grow further on! Thanks a lot!!
The other person probably loves the feel and the look of his hair just as much as you do. Your post almost touched a point where you could have said, the other person should not have long hair. That coming from someone who himself is criticised for having his hair long is a little out of order.
After saying that, you do have nice looking hair. I have thin and flyaway hair too and gets too greasy very quickly (I have to wash every couple of days). I would love to keep it loose, but its impossible when outdoors, as a slightest breeze will send it all over the place!
I suppose, you are really right. Now I see how intact I am in my message. And yes, probably the man I saw really deserves respect, cause he wears his hair just because he loves and feels good with it, despite other's opinion. He might be in piece with himself, and it's really important.
By the way, I looked at your photo. Your hair is great and it suits really, really well!
..............eeeek!!! Wherever did you find a photo of me???
i agree that you won't know what it looks like or if you like it until it grows longer. i would wear it over the ears, that is my preference.
Probably yeah, it's only me who has to choose.
As far as I love hair (and love it more and more as it becomes longer), I'm going to grow it at least till I can tie it into a tale, and there I'll decide on what level to leave it.
Still, just looking for a bit of inspiration here, asking for opinion of those people who have long-hair and can give me more... emm... Realistic? opinion.
People I usually face are hair-haters, that's the same almost everywhere. So I can't really know anything by listening to them. I just can't take them serious.
But I do trust you, so that's why I'm here.
I don't already depend on other's people opinion as I, unfortunately, had earlier. And for sure I'm going to let it grow.
But your opinion - is the thing I want to hear :)
Thank you :)
By the way, here is a photo of myself with much shorter hair. Still, it was almost the longest one I had before I decided to let it grow. I usually had really short haircuts.

... long hair will not always look at its best & to be honest long hair is not always the most flattering style for some ... but it is how it makes you feel & your ability to wear it with pride that counts ... long hair is beyond appearances: ( inside ) ... & yet all about appearances: ( outside ) ... an oxymoron really ... strive to be happy & comfortable in your own skin ... all will fall into place ... cheers CEM.
Looking superb Sergii!
Just let it grow - yes, you'll find out over time who your true friends are.
Good to have you with us - Onward and Downward!

Thank you, Oren! Going just to let it grow longer as I enjoy it really much.
And yeah, mlhh is a really great resource for those who love and grow hair. Glad I've found and joined it! :)
I think your hair doesn't look anything like what you described. Take care of your hair and you will look great!
Thank you! I think, it's really the right way for me!
I think the long hair suits you and is a benefit to your looks. My advice would be to keep growing it and then, once you've seen how it looks longer, decide if you want to keep it.
You can always cut it if you want to, but if you never grow it you won't know what it's like long.
As for the man you saw, he probably didn't take care of his hair. I get one-inch trims every six months and it makes a world of difference.
Ignore the mindless masses! It only matters how it feels to you, deep inside.
Your hair looks excellent and will only be more so, longer.
Bruce
Sergii,
First, I think you have the perfect facial structure for long hair, so don't be comparing yourself to a round-faced person. Second, most of the time hair looks better as it gets longer (after the awkward phase, etc.), so with your hair I think you wouldn't have any problem. Third, if you like hair, grow it! See how it looks like on YOU after it's long instead of thinking how it might look. I think you might be surprised ^_~ !
So in summery - grow, grow and grow it down :p ... and enjoy, too ;) !
SIncerely,
Eric
You look fine, don't worry. You don't have a face that doesn't "work well with long hair" at all. And remember you're still in the Awkward Stage in between medium length and long hair, so don't worry about some bad hair days and some irritating comments. Half a year from now your hair will be weighed down more and will look just great.
