Hello friends !
I haven't posted for a really long time... several months (years ?) i guess.
Sorry for my non-presence, sometime i come here and watch all your progress but feel too shy to comment.
I'm now in my about 7th year without a haircut and my hair seems to have reached their terminal lenght years ago...
It's nearly belt lengh when wet, and nearly mid back dry but the ends are in a realy terrible condition.
Today my sister made me a light undercut on the back of my head, it's really light as nobody can really see it but it will help me to loose some "bad volume" as these hair were curly and tangly as hell and it will help with my skin condition as this part of my scalp was also very itchy.
I'm also planing to make a maintenance cut, i guess i will have to chop a bunch of hair to get rid of the "poofiness" of my hair :(
I'm ready to loose a year of lenght if it can make my hair looks better, anyway it doesn't seems to be growing anymore.
I will post an update with some picts later.
Have a nice day :)
François.
Hey François, great to see you back posting again:)I certainly remember you from years ago and its nice to know you've kept you hair long.Sorry to hear about the condition of your hair and you feeling the need to cut a years worth of growth off.Like you, I feel my hair has reached its maximum length even though I know its still growing since I color my hair and can see the new growth at my scalp after several weeks.Look forward to any pics you post as it would be cool to see if you changed much.Anyway hope your having a nice weekend and do drop by again my friend:)Cheers

Hi François,
It is great to see you again, and thank you for popping in to give let us know how you have been doing. Good luck with the trim!
Take care,
David
Hello Francois,
I greatly empathize with you on this. I have a 2 inch fringe on the nape of my neck which is very curly and is always a hassle to keep tangle free. I also get itchy scalp from minor psiorias in the same area too. Being on the hair fringe edge underneath the rest of the hair if it makes it easier to look after then it was a great idea to make a small undercut. I too get more tangles there then anywhere else but have decided not to cut back but learn to cope with it as best I can. I have thought about getting the 2 inch fringe straightened as a way of coping.
I have used aegean hair oil with success in combating my frizzy puffy hair. Maybe that is a better option then trimming in layers?
Are you going for a blunt length with thicker ends?
Look forward to seeing your update. It is good to see some more guys with similar hair types on this board. Thick hair can be more of a challenge but never boring!
Same to you.
cheers, Duncan
