Hello everyone. I have been lurking about this board for some time now. I really enjoy the advice and inspirational photos everyone posts here. I am trying to grow my hair out again after cutting in August of 2011. I had been growing for about 2 years. I miss that growth and don't know why I cut it.
Now I am getting frustrated with these crazy "wings" I have going on. Hopefully they will correct themselves with more length. When I compared Vincent's avatar pic with his current pic, I have to believe they will. What do you guy's think?
Thanks again for this board and keep posting those great pics for inspiration!
P.S. Here is current length.
Ted
Your hair will grow out of it. I was also 'Blessed " with wings and feathers as my hair grew out. It will pass sooner than you think, if not a soon as you'd like. Prrof is in the pic of your hair before you cut it. It's nice to know you and welcome. As you know, this board is a great base for any longhair.
Thanks for the reply, Rktect. I am sure these "wings" will go away, but guess I don't want to wait. I should have posted my front before cut pic sooner so you could see how it looked. Thanks also for the welcome and I am glad to know you also. I always like your posts and your hair is spectacular. I like the color and the waviness.
Take care, Ted
Yup the wings will go away, but I like them so they don't bother me :)
Thanks for the reply, Vincent. I should just enjoy the growing out process. I am going to try to wash with shampoo every few days to avoid all the frizziness. Maybe the wings will lay flatter.
I heard that you shouldn't wash your hair every day, like around every 3 days so that you don't remove the natural oils that gets produced on your scalp.
Also the "wings" can be used as a style as well, so you can use it to your advantage rather than a disadvantage and it keeps your hair out of your eyes when it is gets longer. Your hair is still looking healthy and good
