Here's an article that states that long hair - for men - is in fashion for 2012. I wonder if Brad Pitt's longer hair may have something to do with it? Or are people just sick and tired of the buzzed look? Fashion is fickle, but maybe the trend will continue.
Lon hair in fashion for 2012
I don't care about what's "in fashion" I just wear clothes I like and have a hairstyle I like. But it would be nice if more men grow out their hair because it's in fashion :)
I know it might sound a bit silly, but...
I am SO glad Brad is growing out his mane again. He is my hair idol, hope he keeps it going and keeps it long for good!
Yeah Brad looks good with his long hair, really nice hair. I must admit I don't care for his beard whick he grows sometimes, he doesn't grow a very thick beard, so it looks a little scraggly, takes away from his face and beautiful long mane.

The girl who wrote the article had a lot of good points. When she said, "Don't be a slave to the ponytail," it hit me that I have been. My hair is about two inches above the belt line and I really enjoy wearing it loose. But, I have a habit of tying it back when I go out in public, for whatever reason.
A married couple that my wife and I are close friends with put it well recently. This couple is Afro-American (not that it matters, other than they were referring to a white person's hair type when they said this) they've been observing my hair growth for the last three years or so. I'm told the husband was speaking to his wife one day and asked her, "Why does Steve wear his hair in a tail when his hair looks so awesome worn loose and full? It looks like after he went to all that trouble growing it out like he has, he'd want to show it off!"
I'm thinking about this.

This is so true, but long hair has to be protected. If you wear it loose you get so much tangles. That's why I won't grow it ultra long anymore, that way I can wear it loose :)
Most of the time I wear my hair loose, It's generally only on
windy/stormy days when I wear my hair in a pony tail or braided
to keep it from getting damaged. Or if I'm doing something where
I need to prevent the hair from getting caught in something it
shouldn't be caught in. (Which would damage it.)
