Hi all,
Hope summer was good for everyone (unofficial end). This last month for me was a month of ups and downs for my hair...
The ups - saw some more progress, which is always encouraging :D . Makes a person feel pretty good ^_^ !
The downs... don't know if anyone remembers, but I was having some dandruff problems in May maybe? A very nice fellow here on the board suggested a few drops of tea tree oil in my shampoo to control it, which worked pretty well, but got a little worse as summer went on.
When I got back from Colorado in late July, it just exploded out of control >< !!! Had no clue what was going on, tried everything I could think of. Getting into a dermatologist takes forever ~_~ . In the meantime, he prescribed some fluocinonide which didn't really help out and on top of everything else, I had sores on my scalp :/ . Yikes ~_~ !
What really got me to my normal Doctor was when it seemed like the very front of my hair began thinning out right where there is a red zit-type thing (it isn't a zit) that never goes away @_@ (everyone else in my family says my hair looks fine up there :p ~ I didn't think so). The dandruff likes to build up there, too :( !.....
So I went to the Doc hoping I wouldn't loose my hair - he said that it was caused by a fungal infection and prescribed to me nizoral. The nizoral has helped out a lot, except for getting that red zit thing to go away. Still think my hair is a little thin up front-middle in a quarter-sized area.
...but the kicker is that when I was checking out, I was handed a sheet of paper that said I was diagnosed with "Seborrheic keratosis". Huh :o ? No one had told me that... no clue to what it is, either. When I google it, I come up with a thousand different answers, from warts to inflammation of the scalp to a yeast infection ~_~ . If anyone can help explain this one to me, it'd be a great help ^_~ .
Anyways, another adventure.
In addition, this last month discovered that EEG's are bad for hair pull-out :p hah! Wouldn't recommend it unless necessary since they have to heat-glue the sensors to your head ^_~ ~
Also this last month, finally got a job ~o~ . Never have been busier, but it's good to finally get a new paycheck again :D . Now I just need to do things right @_@ !

Boy I sure hope you can get your condition under control with the medication. I am sorry to hear of your hair trying to thin out in the front. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing for you. At any rate, I still enjoy your pics of your hair. The color is awesome and also the waviness. I like the progress you have made in one year:)
Glad to hear you got a job:) Those paychecks sure come in handy, don't they? I have been on disability for a while now and can't wait to get a kidney transplant so I can go back to work. Dialysis 3 times per week gets old really quick.

Thanks and as always the best of health to you ^_^ !!! I'm going to see the dermatologist in a couple of days, so we'll see what he says (I think it's getting half way under control). As for the paychecks... yikes I'm keeping busy ~_~ ... so busy that it's keeping me away from the board :( . Ah well :p . I'm pretty sure you'll get your new kidney and you'll be at it yourself soon enough, too ^_^ !

Hey Eric,sorry to hear about all the issues you've been dealing with regarding hair thinning to dandruff.Certainly not fun to deal with especially with the hot/humid summer we had.Thankfully I've never had those kind of issues but hopefully you can put yours in the rear view mirror and can once again enjoy the positive aspects of having longhair:)Sounds like the last doc gave you something that's helping.
Your update pic looks awesome and cool to see the comparison from a year ago.You've got a great mane to be proud of my friend and to top it off you found a new job!Looks like a happy fall season is upon you:)Cheers

Heh and on top of that a job where I can keep my long hair :D !!! Can't ask for any better ^_~ ! No suit or tie, just a polo shirt and black jeans but works all the same :) .
And nah, I'm getting happy with my hair again :) ! Just for a while there I was really worried :/ . Hopefully the dermatologist will have something good to tell me in a couple of days :o .....

Your hair is looking great, despite all the scalp skin problems. Hopefully all of them will be resolved soon.

Wow unrealxXx, that's quite the compliment :D - that has shot a big boost of confidence in me ^o^ ! Sometimes I can't tell, but hopefully my hair is growing in the right direction :p heh~
You're hair is looking real good lately, too, jet black and almost to a true longhair :) (if you aren't already ^_~ )! Can't wait to see it in a full ponytail :D !!!
