So I have been so busy this past year, and I use the term "year" loosely, because we still have 3 1/2 more months to go. I have just finished my schooling in July, and started my internship soon after. Now that I am finished with my internship, I was elated to find out my supervisor, from the internship liked my work so much he recommended me to a pharmacy 2 minutes from my house. So I put in my two weeks at Chipotle, and I will be out of the food service very soon.
I guess I just wanted to say that it had crossed my mind briefly to cut my hair in hopes of bettering my chances of finding a job. But thankfully I didn't, I decided the best thing to do was kick-ass at my internship and it paid off.
So for anyone out their considering cutting their hair best advice is don't it doesn't guarantee you the job, and why would you want a job where you can't be yourself. Instead be yourself, and be the best self you can be and get that job regardless of long hair, and tattoos in my case.
I'll have to get a picture up soon, it has grown out nicely, and I trimmed it just once because it was snagged quite a bit.

Hi Ziggy, great hearing from you after such a long absence.Well you may have been busy but at least it was productive time so all is good:)That's great about the new job and being close to home is a plus especially with the fuel prices nowadays.I totally agree with you that cutting your hair guarantees you nothing in regards to getting a job.Even if you did get one by sacrificing your hair you could lose it at anytime the way things are today.Frankly there is no good reason any man should be asked to cut his hair just to seek employment. As long as its kept neat "on the job" there should be no issue. No one should be expected to give up their identity just to be employed.Anyway I wish you the best with the new job and do post a pic when you can my friend. After all that's what its all about here;)Cheers

Hi Ziggy,
I am glad you didn't give in to society's crazy notions about people with long hair, tatoos etc. I can't tell you how tired I am of people that don't conform to the preconceived notions of so called authority figures being considered as "the other ones". There are plenty of people with long hair who have contributed much to society.
I know you will be a top notch associate in the pharmacy. If I went in there you can bet I would want to be served by you. I wish you much success in your future endeavors and your hair growth!
Take care, Ted
The downside of that is when there is a huge snowstorm you're the
only one who will make it in. (If you have snow storms where you live.)
Excellent advice.
I am glad that you figured this one out for yourself. I realized it along time ago.

That is great news, Ziggy. A dream come true, where your ability is what is important to your employer and not hair length. The icing on the cake is only a 2 minute commute which equals a lot less stress.
